so, if this is what they decide to do, then that's fine i guess. i know tons of people were hoping for this to happen ever since the game came out. personally i would prefer if lara wasn't in any kind of relationship at all mainly because the chance of the next game turning into some sappy romance story instead of, well, tomb raiding. but whatever.

Tomb Raider is a really good game with a lot of action and fun gameplay. They still have a few things they need to work on, but it is a gigantic leap into the right direction. I hope they make another one.

The Last of Us IS game of the year, but this one deserves honorable mentions.

I noticed how some people complain that she is too attractive and all that junk... but look at Uncharted. Nathan Drake is very good-looking and he hardly gets any flack for that. Its just how games are. And comics. And tv. And movies. (Sorry if someone already said this, I didn't read all of the posts.)

I don't really care either way, but with publishers being completely scared to have a female lead in any sort of romance I think this is a win. Whether it turned out she was into men or women I think its a win regardless. Plus, I don't think there is a huge risk of them going the "sappy romance story" route, in my opinion that would kill any progress. Progress is great but if nobody buys the product it kinda kills the point of it.  Because of this I think they will just take baby steps with it.

Hopefully they'll show how Lara earns her iconic sunglasses, backpack, hot ice persona, and duel pistol ninja acrobatics in the next game.

Plus more supernatural enemies to combat early on, and dinosaurs too.

Stop being turrible. Lara can't keep being a naive noobie though. It got annoying quick when in every other firefight she'd try to plead with the clearly far gone deranged island hobos, or crying 'SAM!'. Killing and watching friends be killed should have some lasting impact on her psyche/persona though.

Aaaaand this was my point with the 'old self'. I didn't like sociopath Lara and i'd prefer she keeps some of her self instead of going completely bonkers.

 

Sam staying alive and helping her in some cases would be best than another 'pointless' death.

Its not often you get to play a possibly lesbian, female, established main character with a love interest in a game so in this case, perhaps Sam should stick around instead of the writers relying on "Aww your love interest died, you're a girl and you're sad, write a song about it"
