I'm honestly okay with timed exclusive. If it does turn out to benefit SE in the long run and up the possibility of future TRs, then I just see this as a delay.

Honestly I probably would have shelled out for a PS4 if it was exclusive to that console... but Xbox One... are they serious... .
Man I'm going to be pissed all damn day...
As someone with an Xbox One, don't feel down about the console itself. Its not the boogeyman that people thought it would be at 2013. My stepbrothers have PS4s, I have the One, and we all agree that both are awesome and that both are great choices. Microsoft has radically changed from their initial plans and are hitting home runs with the One. Sony as well with the PS4. If you want a game this much, don't fret about it being on the PS4, One, or Wii U;get what you need to play what you want.
Though lets be honest, exclusivity sucks no matter who's left out. If only everyone could play everything on anything. *dreams*

Majority of the dedicated TR fanbase are on PC and Sony consoles... (Not to mention Lara has more of a history with the Playstation despite it actually starting off as a Saturn exclusive)
I had the 360 and it convinced me to never buy another console from Microsoft again. It was just poorly made and the things broke like hotcakes in comparison to every single other console I have owned. ADS are damn everywhere... They can have my business on PC and that's it. And the Xbone is just over priced given the hardware inside of the machine, I have no interest in owning it...

Actually after the Underworld sales things were looking pretty bleak (bleak enough to the point where they had to reboot the entire franchise) I honestly think that the Lara Croft series will be the only version of her that will move on because I really don't see how exclusivity will help this game at all.
I look forward to seeing classic Lara in the Temple of Osiris and other Lara Croft games.

I am going to preorder ToO (the collectors edition) when I have the money. I'm broke right now because I have to pay my tuition... it sucks.
Idk Square had ridiculously high expectations for the reboot (they wanted it to sell as much as CoD on a day one release) so I wouldn't put it past them to be stupid enough to make this not a timed exclusive.

You got a source saying it's a timed-exclusive "only"? Because all the news I've been checking say only "XBone exclusive", no words about it being timed only.
Really a letdown if that were the case, "Rise of the Tomb Raider" was the only thing I was interested in in Microsoft's portfolio.
If this is Sqare Enix's doing, they will be firmly placed on my blacklist. Their little stunt with selling Deus Ex Human Revolution again instead of giving out the (mostly necessary!) improvements to the game as patches already made a big dent, but if this is on their heads, RotTR will not make it into my Steam library even if it came out on PC sometime later.
