Just bought it. A little reward for myself since last week was hell. I've seen several walkthrough videos before and it really impressed me. Still, they shoul've added a better blood effect and wounds in enemies' bodies.

Finally beat the game. Collected everything there was to collect, upgraded everything all the way, etc etc. Felt good to complete the game and feel like everything there was to accomplish was accomplished. 100% completion WOO!

That game was fun as hell, I am definitely gonna be excited when news on sequels coming out on next gen consoles is made.

Im sure we will get a few kick ass DLC's before then! =D

Hopefully they will be more puzzle based rather then killing off 200+ bad guys!

Haven't got it yet, looks good...but a lot of it resembles Uncharted...The Cycle is now complete.

Meh...looks too action-y.

And that bow looks accurate as hell.
And after sliding on her butt and arms down rocky slopes so much, she wouldn't have any skin left.

then again I never was TR or Lara fan.

Started the game yesterday and so far I'm liking it. I'm in the third area right now and I'm trying to find all the collectibles (I'm a compulsive completionist); I like how the documents and relics give interesting insights on the place and the people around Lara.

The first tomb I raided was a little disappointing, though. I hoped for interesting puzzles and there was just one: jump to the other side, light your torch, jump back, burn the hanged corpses, push the other cage and jump again on the first one... do they get more difficult later on?

Tombs are really easy and very short sadly. Although it is good to see some physic puzzles after all, Hallf Life 2 did this good but nobody copied it then.

I didn't particularly care since I'm a newcomer to the franchise so I'm not used to tomb raiding, but I agree they could be structured similar to Assassin's Creed, longer levels with a better payoff than just some XP. I was a bit disappointed that the find was nothing more than Lara gasping in admiration.

Congrats! I beat the game over the weekend, too, at 99% completion. I had all documents, relics, all skills, all weapons upgraded, etc., but missed a couple of the challenges. And of course, I can't get back in to the areas I need to get into.

I missed one hanging body bag in the Geothermal Caverns, and the pathway is blocked by rocks, post quest. Damn. Same thing with the research facility - I need to get the sun I'm missing for Sun Killer, and can't get back across, because there's only one hanging car now, instead of two. And if I fast travel inside the facility, I can't get to the outside area the way I came in, so I'm effectively screwed. Oh yeah, and I missed one stupid mine, somewhere at the beach. I can't tell you how much time I've spent trying to find it.

99%. Arrgh.

But wow, what an awesome game. I've seen a couple of people in this thread poo-pooing the story, but I thought it was great. The documents and scrolls really drew me in, and spurred me to continue on. I know the story was a bit cliche, (and kind of expected for a Tomb Raider let's be honest), but it was really well done.

Lara as a character was a definite improvement over past TRs. I watched the Extras after completing the game, and thought it was cool that Lara's VA actually got so emotional at different parts while recording that afterwards, she had to be asked if she was ok. Awww. She's such a cutie. Anyway, it's nice to play a kick-arse female protagonist like that. Girl power.

^ Maybe I'm missing something. I assumed that I'd be able to get everything post-game, and have gone back several times. Honestly, that cavern gives me the creeps, and I'm a bit jumpy the whole time I'm in there, so maybe I'm just blinded while in there.

You can get EVERYTHING post-game. So you actually can 100% the game.

If you say so.

OK, so with the Sun Killer one, I'm missing the very first one, ala:

Sun Killer 1 is past the crack in the wall, but before Lara drops down into the facility. The sun totem is to the left of the lightbulb.

So how exactly do I get that, if I can't get across the same way as I did the first time, and I can't backtrack from the fast travel camp? Is that information inaccurate? Hmm. Maybe there is another way to get there...

Yes you can, I remember that one.

Sun Killer 1 is easy. Going by memory, you know where the camp is. Go backward(you'll have to climb a tiny wall), and then there's another tiny wall to climb. Turn around and look a little up, and its right there.

Edit-

Bah, instead of memory just go by this- PowerPyx's Tomb Raider Sun Killer Guide

I was thinking you actually had to get outside, but hell if I know. lol OK, I'll try it.
And now can you get inside my head, and tell me where the mine I'm missing is? Image IPB

Its probably one of the VERY well hidden ones in the water out by where the boats are. Just keep pointing your arrow at the water till it turns red or again look for PowerPyx's guide, I'm sure he has one.

If its not one of those its probably one of the obvious ones on land.

You know, it kinda freaks me out when I fast travel back to a cleared location, and find more baddies to kill. I didn't realize they were going to respawn, but it's helping me get closer to the achievements I'm missing (Gunslinger, Widowmaker, etc.)

And wow, it's hella fun pulling enemies down from their perches with rope arrows. Image IPB

This ... my only issue with the new game.

My only sorta/issue... cuz I still love THE HECK OUT OF IT.

*hugs game*

Also I'm taking my time and I've been really busy with school so I'm not done yet.  So I won't be active in here until I'm finished to avoid spoilers.

Got my climbing axe, finally, so I'm off to do some climbing. Taking my time exploring every nook and cranny. No official tombs yet, but I'm sure there will be some soon. Will wait until I get more upgrades to start backtracking.
