Just want to run into them.

I can just imagine Finn being forced to live in some mage camp, with his clothes all stained and muddy, and with a look of defeat on his face. Not because of the situation of the mages, no, but because he is coming to terms with never being able to get the stains out even though it was a comforting thought "Oh, I will be able to get these out next water source we get to."

Or he may just have a completely different personality due to trying to survive, who knows.

Srsly? It was a 2 hour DLC and the only personality that got fleshed out at all was that Finn was OCD and Arianne was hostile during first impressions and wanted her book back. Their banter was cute but we learn virtually nothing about them.

AAaaand since I started Witch Hunt at Lvl 35 they were pre-built and unchangable. I imported better gear for both of them, which helped. Yet in the end the only reason Arianne ever stayed alive was because Finn was there with his healing and locking enemies down so they wouldn't kill her. Really, who gives a Lvl 35 warrior 20 constitution?

Alright, gameplay wasn't that relevant. So my strong point here is my first: I liked them OK, but they were not around long enough to really get to know them enough to even warrant caring if I see them again or not.

Everyone who wants to power build. Con was by far the biggest dump stat of DA:O, even for a bloodmage IMO. Will was marginally more useful, since stamina tied to abilities and was you didn't have stamina potions for non-mages.

I'd love to see them both again in a cameo at least. Their banter was the best part of Witch Hunt.

I think it's time for a male Dalish companion!

God, I loved Finn so much. He might have been a little boring for a full-length game without additional personality traits...

BUT

The idea of a mage who was VERY comfortable in the Circle in the midst of this huge mage/templar conflict as a companion is a very interesting idea to me. Could be interesting. And he WAS a healer.

*sigh* This is what comes from making all the good healing spells a specialization; we're forced (or if not forced, then heavily pushed) towards every game having a healer companion. I so wish they would incorporate spirit healer abilities into the normal creation tree...but that's another thread.

don't we get that type of character allready? - Vivienne was a shoe in for first enchanter of one of the Orlesian-Cricles and she is described as liking the circle (not in a pro-chantry way, but in a pro-mage way - so i guess while she liked the circles, she would want them free from the chantry, too (at least that is what i hope, as we already had a pro-chantry circle companion that did like the chantry as well: Wynne! - she even worked for and with the divine!)

as for the second thing "adding the healing into the creation-tree":

yes, please (make the real "spirit"-tree (for mages who regularly interact with spirits (and maybe even demons) something different (maybe buffs, debuffs, summoning and extra damage?) something else, not necessarily healing) :)

greetings LAX

I like to imagine those two crazy kids ran off to have wacky adventures that Finn maybe wasn't entirely up for but the circle's fallen apart anyway and he needs someone beefy to protect him.

It does seem as though they had an important role to play. If the warden left them, they had some very important information left behind, and if the warden stayed behind, they may very well be his companions on...whatever s/he was doing when s/he disappeared.

Agree with Faerunner.
After DA2 , there's gonna always be that fear they might change a character to shoe horn him into a role.
Hope they don't do that again.

I wouldn't mind them returning as cameos/ NPCs. They did have a somewhat important role compared some companions.

They know the location(s) of the eluvians. The book, etc.

Maybe Finn is living with the Dalish, since all hell has broken loose + he seems to know how to translate their text better than the Dalish.

The statue in the Circle did say that it will be the "last time they speak" or something forboding like that

I'd like to see one or both of them in a cameo, but only if they actually sound like themselves. Gotta have the same VAs.

Regarding the statue saying, "We will not meet again" I thought it actually said, "We will not speak again." But, even if I was wrong and that and the statue said "meet" instead of "speak", well it's just a statue now. It isn't like it knows the future with certainty. I think the nicest thing to do for it would be to plop it down next to those two avvar brother statues. Eternal company.

As far as companions go, I wouldn't mind Ariane for one of my dalish DAO imports, but I never got into Finn as much as some of you folks did. They played off each other well enough, but I don't know that Finn would do well with other companions, whereas Ariane would probably be workable with most other companions.
