If you look at that Hicks trailer again they seem to have a captured marine with a bag over his head, wouldn't bet against it being one of the original crew.
Quoting myself is lame, but can anyone who's had the misfortune to play the game confirm if I was right or not? I've read they abandoned canon completely at one point.
You see Hudson cocooned with hole in chest just before the sewer level from what I've seen. Trying not to spoil game but it pretty much involves body swaps and some huge plot holes and complete character changes when it comes to reveal of hooded figure. Its the reason why I am mostly furious with the devs, mostly.
And not 100% sure but from what I've read when a character asks how the heck did it all come about - as it makes no sense - another character says it's not important the mission is or something and ignores it from then on.

It´s sad. Most wanted that character to be alive, and they do it in a way we wished that character had been left fead.

Aaannnd...you linking Metacritic exactly why?
Because you think knee-yerk reactions and spammed reviews by pathological entilted haters OR blidned fanboys somehow gives validity to something?
We seen it happen again and again.
Or do you really think DA2 deserves 1's?

I'm still waiting for the cryotube change to be explained, it would have been better way to do things. I know it was design choice by Fincher in 3 but it always bugged me, changing the steel double glazed tubes into the white single glass tubes from Alien. (Admittedly it does look better)
It can´t be explained. If they wanted someone to question, taking along the rest would have made much more sense. Leaving a double also served no purpose. Had someone with common sense written A3, everybody would have been safe and once they opened the tube it´d become clear what had happened. So why bother? And this is freaking canon now. Not that I expected Fox to approve good writing after Prometheus.

It certainly didn´t deserve 10s, 9s, 8s or 7s.

Maybe people didn't like Duke Nukem Forever cause it looked like the run of the mill standard shooters, with two weapon carry limits, regenerating health, overdone crude humour (Duke Nukem 3D had crude humour too, but wasn't constantly in your face, but well timed) and so on. But what do I know, I only played the original one and like that I can carry 20 weapons with me and not die the instant someone spits at me and forces me to hide, but instead blast around with full hp and armour buffs.

Hey, we all have games we love that other people hate, or vice versa.
lol, well obviously not - but I put those scores down to most people not realising you can choose 0.Lotion Soronnar wrote...

Yep, I knew it. He was mad. lol.
And to answer him, yes it does have validity, varying degrees of course, but most people can think on their own. And Metacritic helps that by compiling many sources into an average to let people look and decide.
Me, I use reviews from both critics and users as soon as they come in, to get a feel of the general consenus for a game or movie. Then I decide. But from my experience, generally, if a movie or game gets mostly 5's, or of any type of score, then that says something about it. Hasn't failed me yet- a game with mostly bad reviews, ended up being something I wasn't into, or I ended up hating as well once I played it. Predictable. So in ME3's case. I whoeheartedly agreed. Ending issue aside. I gave it a 9. ME2, I give a 10 however. Just my preference
And no DA2 doesn't deserve 1's. That was a good game IMHO.

Agreed - it exposes all sorts of information - including what sort of fanboy/troll element there is by lumping all the information together. The terrible reviews can be as informative as the brilliant ones in their own way.
The other thing it does is expose rudely all those crappy "professional" reviews when you see them next to a few thousand mixed user reviews that tell a completely different story.

Never said it did. Note the bolded and underlined.
In general, the truth gravitates towards the middle, as all things in life do.

If it was run of the mill standard, then that makes it average.
Which means run of hte mill, average score.
And no single complaint (health regen system, weapon limit) is a inherently bad mechanic (as there are great games that have those mechanics).
I don't like it anymore than you do, but that doesnt' make it BAD... it just makes it something you didn't expect or want.
