You use a mouse every day.
Sirian has probably not touched a controller in years.
Does a wiimote count?

This, ladies and gentlemen, is insecurity made flesh.

I'd be happy with a TC nerf in the form of making it like Volus TC (no damage boost, not part of the global cooldown) as long as it got fixed so that it actually CLOAKED you properly. Like in ME2.
They could then replace TC in the power tree with something that just gave a % boost to weapon damage, like AR.
That actually wouldn't be a nerf at all, but my points stands.
I've been saying this, but nobody listens and just assumes I'm a TC fanboy. I wouldn't be so reluctant to give away my damage bonuses if I actually had a cloak that worked, but since I don't, I want some good damage to compensate.

Would make infiltrators UP. Unless cloak actually cloaked you.

Yeah, Tatty has told me many times of Heroic's headshot prowess.

I am of course, joking about the auto-aim. But the vast majority of console players would struggle more without it. Especially with the low max sensitivity on consoles.
If you watch gameplays on xbox (not just ME3) you can see how useful autoaim is when your precision is controller-level instead of mouse level. For example, in the CoD games, a lot of the better players quickly notice when the auto-aim "tugs" on their crosshair, so they know there's an enemy at long range even if they can't see it.
etc. etc.
And seriously Bechter? A Mac, with no mouse? Before this, our interactions had given me quite a high opinion of you (as console scrubs go). No longer.
I was young and in college it was a time to make mistakes and experiment.

Funny you say that, it seemed a little too powerful for me, but I liked the idea. This was assuming cloak actually cloaked you tho, so that's mute I suppose

Haha, people like you are so pathetic.
We said auto-aim helps consolers.
And that we never see them getting 20 headshots.
What about that is banworthy? There's no platform war here unless you're planning on starting one? We were just discussing some aspects.
Just relax dude, you get so mad at any little observation. Oh no, Sirian and Anno in the same thread? Must be an attempt to start a platform war.
Plus, reporting people is just childish. Can't take the heat? Stay out the kitchen.

Well, I'm open to monkeying around with the numbers.
I am also open to cloak actually cloaking as well.

I don't know if the Volus cloak is any different from the infiltrators', but I have no problem moving around the map undetected. It's a huge asset. Even without damage bonuses coming out of my ass.

I always thought tac scan was the same regardless.

It's pretty much identical except it grants no damage bonus.
Hence why I am deeply mystified when people say cloak doesn't cloak you, when you can ninja-volus your way round the map pretty easily by using cloak.

I think Tac Scan's debuff is multiplicative so the QMI gets way more out of it than the QME.

I think it is. Cloaking as Infil rarely works for me, no matter what I do. Volus cloak, however, seems to work better, but still not as good as it used to be or ought to be. Banshees and other bosses outright ignore it sometimes.
People freak out about the damage bonus, but neglect the fact that those of us who use it as a cloak are screwed because a lot of times the enemies ignore it anyway and it gets us into trouble. Hence why the nerf to TC was completely stupid - it failed to address any problems with the cloak, and didn't make duration any more enticing.

The QMI's Tac Scan doesn't actually use any of his cooldowns, while the QME's does. The QMI can use all of his powers as fast as the animations allow, while every time the QME uses Tac Scan it means he didn't incinerate. You can get around it with 'nading during the cooldown, but still.

I think he means that a QMI gets more out of his TS than a QME because of TC's damage bonus.
Which is true... A QMI w/ TS can drop bosses in very quick time. Much faster than the QME. But he also can't set off infinite tech explosions like the QME can.

No, he was referring to the fact that tactical scan like most debuffs is most likely multiplicative.
Therefore a QME using tac scan gains X% of his damage, and a QMI gains X% which is modifies his already cloak-modified damage.
For argument's sake and ease of maths, let's say tac scam imposes a +20% damage taken debuff.
If your arc grenade hits for 1000 as a QME, tac scan gives you 200 extra damage. 1200 damage total per grenade.
If your tc buffed arc grenade hits for 1800 as a QMI, tac scan gives you 360 extra damage. Equalling 2160 damage per grenade.
Ergo; tac scan does not use a cooldown for the infiltrator and provides a higher damage boost than it does for the engineer.
*** But don't let your own lack of knowledge about game mechanics get in the way of Feneckus' logic ***

I play the Shadow when I've got a bad hangover (only two buttons to press, no aiming required, free shield recharge, perfect) and I have no problem staying undetected as well. I do get some BS like twice a game but no more than that.
