I don't care if they make sense, they're rubbish and I have no connection or emotion to attach to them. They may as well be any toon from any game, they will never feel "Mass Effect" to me. Pretty much the same for Mechs.

I can respect your opinion, but I don't agree; different strokes for different folks I guess. Kind of like my stance on the Slayer, Shadow, and Phantom; (IMO) space ninjas don't belong in ME.
I'm with you on the Turians, Krogans, and Salarians though, especially the Salarians. Give the Krogans and Turians females since we have their models already done, but after that I would hold off on any more Turian, Krogan, Human or Asari kits for awhile. Reason being, those races almost have double the amount of kits (in most cases) of the other races, and specifically, Salarians have yet to see any new kits since the game's release.

I would've liked the "Space Ninja" concept if they had kept it more like Kasumi from ME2. None of this obnoxious Electric/Biotic Slash crap.
But yeah, we definitely need more Salarians and Krogan. Turians (IMO) we have enough of. Two soldiers, an engineer, a sentinel, and an infiltrator? Unless these were female turians, I wouldn't really want any more than what we already have.

Exactly. Kasumi was believable (IMO) within the MEU, but Kia Leng, Phantoms, Slayers, and Shadows?
I did like how Bioware explained how mono-molecular blades/omni blades actually gave a solider an advantage in an age of kinetic barriers and technology designed to stop bullets, but it didn't make the space ninjas look any less dorky or out of place.
Apart from a female Turian kit (Adapt/Sentiel) I agree that Bioware should hold off on any more Turians, Asari, and Humans for a while; give the other races/synthetics time to shine. Same thing with the Krogans, apart from the female kits I don't think we need anymore (at least for the next few DLCs).

This statement would make a lot more sense if having a Japanese name was the only requirement for someone to be a "space ninja".
Kasumi had a lot more in common with Carmen Sandiego than any ninja that I know of.

True. But her ninja/master thief skills were a lot less over the top (IMO) then sword wielding warriors we have in ME 3.

Get your tinfoil hats ready because here is what I deduced: The supposed name of the upcoming DLC is Reckoning; the robot is called a Rampart Mech; which was an enemy in the Omega DLC which involved Aria Retaking the station.
Reckoning
Rampart Mech
Retaking Omega
There is far too many Rs to be a coincidence!
Just kidding, but seriously Bioware, PLEASE include a Rampart Mech kit in the next DLC. The assets for the Mech, Turian female, and Krogan female are already present (Collector Thralls as well); it would be a crime not to use them!

Playable mechs and collectors are gimmicky. The coolness factor will wear off fast.
I don't see how a playable Rampart Mech would be any more gimmicky then a playable Geth would be.
Also having a playable 'good guy' Cerberus mech would be no different then the Cerberus adept, and vanguard we now have.
Collector Thralls I am indifferent on; but IMO you can't expect the war assets/capabilities of the Leviathians to NOT impact something in the war. Also a Collector Thrall would be more ideal than a Playable Prothean; if one had to pick.

Anybody got an opinion about this?

Obviously there are NDAs, ect that would prevent a straight up conformation of said classes but a conformation that the devs are at least considering to use (any new; post Leviathian) SP assets for MP in the future would help keep this one's hope alive that we may yet see these kits playable in the future.
