For those of you who've already played them, what did you think? Are the stories pretty decent (without too many spoilers please). Would you recommend one over the other? Should I run screaming instead?
Is Omega or Leviathan worth checking out?

Omega is not bad, but it's kind of self-contained. It felt a bit short, like Kasumi's "Stolen Memories" DLC.

Omega also has a great story but it's self-contained, but man the DLC is big. About 3 and a half hours long. Mostly combat but everything about the scale of it is great, though you can't bring squadmates.
All in all definately get Leviathan, and if you want grab Omega too, despite what some people here say it does have a story, albeit a self-contained one.

Leviathan is the better one overall, I felt.

Essentialy this.
Neither are really bad. Personally, I prefer Omega to Leviathan, but that's because of the lack of autodialogue in Omega. It does feel pretty expensive for the small amount of content, though. So, I can understand why someone would prefer Leviathan.

Though the plus parts of Omega I would say are the class interrupt and Aria's character dev. It did have a few more glitches though from what I have seen.
But ya, levy for sure.

Like I said in the original post, I miss the atmosphere and I think a lot of that is lost just passively watching someone else's playthrough online. If it's any good, I'd rather experience it for myself, you know?Teddie Sage wrote...
Do yourself a favour and watch playthroughs for free on Youtube.
So far it sounds like I should give Leviathan a try. Thanks for the feedback everyone!

So my answer would be yes but Omega is overpriced.

If I were playing the game for the first time round I would download both because it adds to your overall game, but if you’re looking for additional story content probably just go with Leviathan.

As for Omega, I would say pass, it was extremely over-hyped & overpriced. I say this because as for story content it is extremely lacking, and most characters in it are very bland. Also its allot of mindless combat, which can be fun, but after a while I just got sick of the entire thing.
Basically fight for a fair bit, do a tinny agree or disagree dialog segment, with no middle ground, and then repeat.

Omega isn't quite as good but is still very entertaining; the only barrier to entry for this one is that it is 15 dollars, and some consider that to be too much for this type of DLC (not substantially longer, and doesn't feel nearly as tied to the main story as Leviathan does).

I really like Aria, so that's disappointing to hear about Omega. I enjoy ME3's combat, but definitely prefer the story and character conversations the most.Ectosage wrote...

Leviathan has more of an impact on the story, but anything that had that much of the main story should have been INCLUDED IN THE ORIGINAL GAME!!!

Heck it even goes against its own interest by allowing you to pick anything BUT CONTROL now this is important because the only reason they let you go is so they can control the reapers yet that definitively can't be done if they're dead or you choose the FU option and it's made difficult for them if you pick synthesis. Now if you don't care about any of that and want to see them, have some non scarry crazies, and go to a cool underwater zone then try it out. I thought the best thing of the Lev dlc was the fact my LI cared when I was going to go into said water zone and actually being in the water zone rightup till the Lev started talking to me. Oh and my LI cares in the scenes after that so that was my likes on it.
And even though I haven't played Omega you have to decide do you want Aria to have one or two couches to do business from? Because all the players who've done this say thats all the benefit you really get.

Omega was fun and it was interesting to fight along side Aria. Her flare and lash attacks caught me off guard and I thought dang!

If you do just love the combat you should get Omega because that's all there pretty much is to it. Not going to add anything to the game or the story whatsoever.
