Is Omega or Leviathan worth checking out?

Leviathan is THE BEST DLC I've seen (yes better than LotSB, although I'm sure plenty will disagree)
haven't bought Omega yet sadly

IMHO, i would say no. Omega, from what i have seen and heard is primarily just action with no real story ramifications.
Leviathan has more of an impact on the story, but anything that had that much of the main story should have been INCLUDED IN THE ORIGINAL GAME!!!
My problem with Lev is during the whole dlc they say its going to help and effect the war effort the entire time its like, " they're gonna murder the reaeprs, they're going to, they're going to, hurry up and get them." but then you get them and the only thing they do is during their own dlc, you then get an email from Hackett rightfully scared to utilize them fully and though they can use shep as a proxy to fry the reapers they do nothing you only get a dailouge mention for the kid. So much for changing the war<_<
What should've bare minimum have happened was it fries all the reapers in your path, keeps that one ground team alive because they don't have that many reaper forces falling on them cuz lev friend enonugh reapers and then once you talk to star kid they take you over and force you into controlling the reapers then they get on and say how they used you to do as they'd explained and took over the reapers and the galaxy was made their servants, thralls, and preachers to the lesser species of the galaxy.

Levi was fine, really just didn't care for what it did to the story. I wouldn't put it ahead of LotSB though.
Only thing I'll add is the Omega DLC should really be renamed Aria DLC.

OP, if you're immersed into the fiction then I wouldn't recommend youtubing the DLC.

Omega - I didn't personally purchase Omega but it was a pretty big flop in comparison to what Bioware hyped it up to be.
Short answer: No

Yeah I don't really understand what people are saying. They're telling the OP:
"Why have fun when you can watch other people have fun for 6 hours"
I went into Omega and Leviathan knowing nothing but what the trailers showed me, not because I don't have youtube, but because watching other people have fun just isn't something that appeals to me.

Yup, why bother buying games anyways? Just watch someone do a playthrough. It's the same thing right?

When it comes to Bioware games* and their handling of "choices" it sure is.

I didn't think I could be surprised by stupid things said on these forums but in this past 10 months this really must be high up there.

Remember that Leviathan was postponed because of the Extended Cut.XxBrokenBonezxX wrote...
Leviathan - Ultimately, no. It fixes nothing and raises (if you can believe it) more questions about the ending.
Leviathan, without the Extended Cut, would have served to answer several of the questions which were constantly raised about the original ending.
Personally, I liked Leviathan. That one piece of DLC has made me start reconsidering some basic frameworks of the universe--whether that was done intentionally or not I don't know.
They "hyped it up" to be retaking Omega.Omega - I didn't personally purchase Omega but it was a pretty big flop in comparison to what Bioware hyped it up to be.
If you thought it was going to be some story altering, miraculous DLC...the fact that it was Aria centric should have told you that your assumptions would not be correct.

Also, here's my advice:
Don't listen to the people who say 'They're rubbish. I watched them on YouTube'. You have to experience them yourself, in my opinion. I believe that they would have enjoyed them more if they had actually played them.

Leviathan is very much like Overlord - it's spread out over several missions that shake things up nicely in the gameplay department, but the story is mostly forgettable apart from it's brilliantly executed ending twist. Bonus points if you enjoyed the investigative parts of LA Noire.

Omega DLC is good BUT! only if your a fan of Aria. The probem here is its rediculously overpriced and it lacks any kind of variety, there is one or two stand out moments and the story is okay but you`ll pretty much just find yourself running around Omega shooting stuff. Also there is no perks other then some war assets once you complete it, you can not return to Omega as a new hub world and you do not get a new squad mate to join you on the Normandy. Overall for 1400 msp, its disapointing.

Really. I liked the ME2 DLC much more than ME3 DLC. At least in Shadow Broker you had an interestinf storyline, a boss, and a few interesting game mechanics(E.G. shooting the lightning panels). Stolen Memory had an interesting story, and Kasumi is my favorite squadmate.
Leviathan had a few puzzles, and a somewhat convoluted story. I personally did not like Omega, as it felt that Bioware has gotten lazy with DLC(less interesting gameplay mechanics, more cut-scenes intersperced with combat). However, I never did any of the side missions on Omega(I never did find that couch).

There's a really nice place on a downed floating ship in Leviathan DLC (I liked the graphics). Rain plus you are being surrounded by waves which looked pretty good
