Leviathan is great if you like to find out more about the Reapers' origins. Omega is great if you like Aria and the general theme of Omega, even if it doesnt tie in with the story much.
Watching them on youtube pales in comparison to experiencing them on your own. I have no regrets on buying them.

Hey people, What if We asked gods from Bioware to sell us one Redeem code containing Omega & Leviathan for 1600 points? I mean, I bet a lot of people out there are wondering which one to pick just because they don't wand to buy another 1600 points pack..
With one 1600 code You're missing 400 points to get both. I'm 100% sure a lot people decided on one DLC instead of two (and are probably waiting on price drop).
Bioware be generous and let us take both at once for 1600 - You'll still get more money than from one purchase

I bought From Ashes before I started playing ME3, so it was part of my game experience from the beginning.phillip100 wrote...
OP, I know this DLC isn't what you're thinking of getting, but you should definitely get From Ashes.
And as an update, you all have convinced me. I officially bought Leviathan tonight. Thanks for taking the time to share your opinions, I appreciate it!

I havent gotten Omega, but I got Leviathan...and while its not BAD, at the end of it, it just feels like "...welp...back to the PLOT, I guess."
Was kind of neat lore wise, but nothing you couldn't have guessed on your own anyway, and at the end of it, it has no bearing on anything, so...yeah.

I would choose Leviathan, because it's like same old Mass Effect, with good dialogues and big attention to story and characters. Final dialogue of DLC made me sit with open mouth and listen for 20 minutes - so well writen, played by actor and directed. I think that's what you like in ME as I do. Very little comic role of Vega (scene with head) have more writer's love than all his presence in ME3 combined. After ME3 with ultra-generic dialogues and very bad direction, it was kind of honey to my damaged soul to see ME in right hands again.
Omega is just waste of time and money. If Leviathan is critical for understanding what is going on in ME Universe, Omega is look like very long typical side-quest from ME2. No characters development (Aria stays Aria, Nyreen stays Nyreen, Petrovsky stays Petrovsky, Shepard just shooting Cerberus troops), no exploration, no intrigue, just very boring shooter in tight locations. Before Omega come out there were some speculations that Omega is unfinished Crucible from one of the previous cycles and that was interesting version. Omega DLC doesn't have any mystery or dirty little secret that can invest something more in Aria character or something like this. No, Omega is just Omega - former Eezo mining facility - nothing more, nothing less and that's sad.
So choose Leviathan - maybe it's a last time when you can see Shepard and his crew talking and doing things like the always do in ME1-2 - with style and pleasure. And I just hold my hands for that «last DLC».

Leviathan
This does expand the story a little bit, but honestly it still comes off as a sidequest sort of feel. Granted, it is a fairly enjoyable one. What it does well is that it is formatted as an investigation in multiple parts, and that adds some mystery to the game. That also serves to break the action a bit, and it allows you complete the three parts in between other missions if you really want to. I like the first "mission" of the DLC the best, it does have something of a Mass Effect feel (Feros...), and the second is alright. The third bit is really just somewhat repetitive. What this DLC does poorly is that there isn't all that much action, all enemies are standard Reaper units, and the voice acting isn't great (especially from one character). And it introduces a bug into the EC scene with the catalyst.
You get the Raider and Argus if you didn't have them (although technically everyone has them, they are just locked...), and some decent mods. One decent bonus power. And irrelevant war assets.
All in all I feel it is more on par with something like Overlord (which I did like). So good, but not great. I do not feel it is anything like "the greatest DLC of all time," nor do I feel like it really adds anything vital to the story.
Omega
This is certainly a self contained sidequest that doesn't impact the main story. Of course, Lair of the Shadow Broker was exactly the same in that regard, except it starred a former teammate...
Despite how people claim it is horrible, it does do a number of things well. Level design chief among them. Kudos to whoever designed them. You get to see new parts of Omega, and they are some of the more interesting places you will get to visit in ME3. Nearly none of it was recycled from ME2, so they didn't cut corners there. Other things it does well is that the voice acting is a bit better than Leviathan, there is more combat, there are two new enemy types, two temp squadmates, and you get two guns (Valkyrie and Chakram Launcher), and two bonus powers (Lash, Flare). There are also several variations of the ending. Soundtrack isn't bad.
There are several problems with it. The aforementioned sidequest feel is one of them. There are glitchy animations in some of the cutscenes which detracts from immersion. And although there are new enemies, one in particular isn't too difficult to deal with, and neither is the other. My uploaded version on youtube with nothing cut but load screens is only a little over 2hr in length, and that was insanity. Lastly, it is somewhat pricey for DLC.
But overall I found it enjoyable. It has more replayability to me than Leviathan. That is probably due to the nature of it. The central plot is not to solve a mystery, it is to mount an assault on Omega.
In any event, I can't say if either will be worth buying to you. I have gotten my money's worth from playing through each multiple times, and I would consider myself a pretty big ME fan.

Leviathan has a lot of content. More exploration, dialouge, lore, puzzles and probably more. I enjoyed this dlc a lot.
Omega plays itself just gundown enemies and some retrieving side quest. It's focused on Aria than Shepard. Shepard is just along for the ride. This dlc is overpriced compared to leviathan. I was expecting a lot from this dlc.
Watching them on youtube is like being a kid watching another kid eat ice cream. You know it looks good just by watching but you know it's better if you have your own.
Anyway if you have the spare change to purchase them you could purchase them. It's up to you.

I heard Omega is good but its overpriced and that is what makes it bad. I havent personally played the DLC but I heard enough to stay clear from it. Better off waiting for the next DLC than getting Omega.
