Also Morrigan really only has a big impact if you choose her ritual if you don't then she really has no more impact than anyone else in your party. Most of them have some great backgrounds that could easily be further persued.

If you wanna do it in a slow and romantic fashion, go with Leliana.



If you like it raw and rough, then I'd go for Morrigan since she likes to get dirty.

Why does eveyone keep calling Leliana "innocent" when she is so far from that.

Morrigan has bigger plot influence, actually it kind of irritated me how she was in my room where Leliana should have been there instead at first i was like ... did Morrigan change her mind about being sisters ... and then I was like oh you want to have sex with Alistair O.o

tbh there should have been an option to join in or atleast say something jokingly about it.  Since I think it took place in my room?!

But I like them both and found them both very interesting.  I'll be upset if Leliana isn't in awakening but not Morrigan I expect she wont be back for a while because she is oh so important and has some kind of god demon thing in her uterus...

Leliana has absolutely ZERO obigatory appearances.

Result = Morrigan is the bigger impact.

But, even she is a far distant 2nd to Alistair.

of the remaining, more optional party members, the biggest impacts belong to Loghain, Wynne (meet her at ostagar, choose to kill her or not in The Circle, and either way you get to chat, listen to her words of wisdom, witness her powers in action (the wall of force she has blocking the tower door at the least) and ultimately either gain the best ally you can have, or kill one of the most powerful mages in the Circle) and Zevran ( he tries to kill you, gets at least two cut-scenes in which he is the scene-stealer, even if you kill him he has a bigger impact than almost anyone else). Oghren has reasonable impact in orzammar, but you can completely ditch him anyway once he "joins", so he can't count alongside Wynne or Zevran.

Leliana, Sten and Shale are completely unimportant...entertaining certainly, but they have no impact on the larger story-line.



Wynne would have to be my favourite of the female companions though. Not having to tiptoe through every conversation is wonderful. The sage advice she gives is always given in a "take it or don't, i'm here to help if you need it, if not... oh well" manner. Her comments if you choose a less than reputable option are entirely valid from her perspective. do you really want a squad full of yes-men? oh right, you do, then lets rename You "Loghain" and go from that position. (this is not directed at anyone in particular )

Wynne, sage advice?  Giving lectures about how to be a king to a DN is sage? Sucking up to a HN is sage? Telling a city elf at the gauntlet she must own up for her mistakes in allowing Vaughn to rape her cousin and kill her fiance is sage?

Oooooh, Wynne.  No, not wise.  Just regurgitating what was drummed into her head by the circle and the chantry.

Morrigan and leliana i love them both but relationship wise i like leliana more. There both almost always in my party But i think Morrigan plays a bigger role in the blight but epiloge wise leliana has more of an effect. Plus she can easily be put back in the next game unlike morrigans baby.

Especially if you die. That had the most emotional impact on me than any other moment in the game. (the Morrigan feeling regret was also pretty good)

I don't think in a plot sense it's much of a contest, since Leliana is a completely optional character. Morrigan has the biggest plot role of any companion except Alistair. Well, I guess there's another one who has an even bigger role, but not while he's your companion.
