Mass Effect brought triumph, disappointment, joy, bitterness, sadness, frustration, reverence, wonderment, inspiration and all the other "feels" that one only gets from true passion. Discovering a new universe, new characters and new friends through the passion of this game. Indeed it has been a great ride, maybe not a perfect one, but then that would be boring. So thanks to BW for all those feels and thanks for making Commander Shepard. May she (or he) rest well.

This is really sad... I still remember buying ME1 in January 2008 and how it blew my expectations out of the water(Loved KotOR immensely) and can't believe the trilogy is officially over and the makers are moving on. Best Series I've ever played. Despite all the hate ME3 ending got, which I'm sure hurt them a lot, I hope they don't forget how loved this series is and how its changed people. Thanks Bioware for an amazing 5 yrs.

Mass Effect 3 can't be wrapping up because there is STILL a lot of work that needs to be done before Mass Effect 3 could even consider beng done.

A lot of fixing of Mass Effect 3 STILL needs to be done.

They're been working on this project for a lot of years, I'm not surprised that they're wrapping it up by March 2013. The Montreal Team needs to focus on the fourth game and they need to "OK" to start this next game seriously. As soon as ME3 is done for the SP, they will be able to collect more data from gamers and build a new story. My theory is this: the new or last DLC will be an epilogue one for the existing endings and will lead to the next game. Montreal Team could however work on more SP DLCs since this is the last time Edmonton Team seems to be involved with the SP section of the game. Though something tells me this isn't the last time we'll hear about them for SP. Just a hunch.

To you, maybe. I have some concerns about a couple of plotholes, which hopefully the DLC fixes.
Overall though, to me, I only had one thing to say: This is an end, once and for all.

While ME3 was severely disappointing I have to say that I've put in well over 500 hours into ME2 that it is my favourite in the series and I enjoyed the series thoroughly. So for what it's worth thank you but I haven't touched Mass Effect, ME2 since I finished ME3 because I think to myself "well, I know how it ends so... no thanks."

So I don't know. Do I thank you or hate you? I think I'll thank you for handing me a great series to experience through the years all the way till the finale, which could have been handled with more care than being stuffed down my ****ing throat and being told "it was good for me".

Can't say I've been very impressed with you all recently, but thanks BioWare for making me give enough of a damn to stay here and complain. I tip my hat to you.

You sure have my thanks, Bioware. No go out there and give them hell.

It's time to see what else can come out of that magic company that is Bioware.

Mass Effect - the trilogy - left me glued to the screen for hundreds of hours. It gave me the first video game character I was ever a fan of - and man, did I fall hard for her - and the worst feelings about an ending in my complete history of experiencing stories in whichever medium. It contains both the best successes and the worst failures in video game storytelling I'm aware of, the greatest moments and the worst. For the most part, it was a great ride, but it will be good to gain some distance after several years.

Hopefully the last DLC makes it all end with a bang - in development chronology at least. I have only one wish: when all is long past and the NDA's have run out, I'd like to speak with one of the writers to get some insight into what they hoped to achieve with the ending and how it was supposed to come across, because I may like the outcomes and may have gained emotional distance ffrom those parts I don't like, but I'm still confused.

I for one am curious to see what Casey's new IP will be. Can't be fantasy because they've got Dragon Age, can't be sci-fi because they have Mass Effect and I doubt he would want to work on another sci-fi after 10 years of KOTOR and Mass Effect.

Looking at these, I wanted to feel sad, but really I just feel.... empty. I honestly don't feel anything accept a little residual bitterness.

Besides, Montreal can still do DLC's as well. ME is their responsibility now.

I've absolutely hated the endings but the time I've spent in this universe through all those years is above this.

I'm looking forward to the new Mass Effect game from Montreal and the new IP from Edmonton.

So does this mean that the upcoming SP DLC is the last one? Im not familiar with the design process, is it impossible that this last design meeting was concerning a SP dlc after this next one?

For me it was pretty much over with EC, so I don't feel anything personally.

But, for them I'm sure it's an emotional time. Mass Effect brought me so much joy (more than the strife), and thank you, amazing people of Edmonton and beyond, for that.

Want a time travel RPG. Not set in this universe, but not as wacky as Chrono Trigger.

I personally believe that any new IP is going to be tainted by the presence of EA. I think EA has pretty much made BW shift their priorities, even their audiences.
