Last ME3 meeting. Watched clips from all three games. All the feels. It's been a fantastic ride, and an honor to be part of the team.Karin Weekes (@bellecanto114)
Just out of our final ME3 team meeting. We watched the launch trailers for all 3 games. What an amazing group of people. It's been an honor.Rick Knowles (@rick_D_knowles)
If I haven't said it enough, the ME team is awesome. Looking back through all 3 game trailers and seeing how far things went.Sylvia Feketekuty (@Sylvf1)
Attended the last Mass Effect 3 design standup ever (along with some other ME ex-pats invited down for the occasion) It was quite a ride.Jay Watamaniuk (@JayWatamaniuk)
Just came from last ME3 stand-up meeting. Watched the launch trailers for all three games. Had a bit of dust in my eye.Dave Feltham (@DaveFeltham)
We had our last Mass Effect design meeting today with @PWatamaniuk. There was much emotion. And donuts.Chris Priestly (@BioEvilChris)
The Edmonton Mass Effect team had their final design meeting today remembering 3 amazing games. The feels are strong in the office today.
This is sad.
There is nothing sad in this. Devs are happy, as well as a lot of old and new fans.

In all seriousness though, my [pretend] hat's off to the team. Although we may disagree on the ending, I know they worked hard on the series and I appreciate all of it.

Not quite... tears, last DLC, all writers (thank the spirits...), music, major character voice overs, citadel...
"We found Shepherd."
why are so many people riding the dead horse? (meaning: why can't you let the character rest, i mean the individual shepards were cool
even more so, as sheppard can be either space dust (green and blue endings) or space waste/dead (red - no breath scene) or maybe alive (doubtfully though) (red with breath scene) and because a new character that is like shep has as much potential as he does (it is like people clinging to say darth vader in star wars extended universe when there are so many other interesting characters and new characters with as much (or even more) potential then good old shep)
greetings LAX
ps: i am a little sad, but mostly because they ended it on such a sour note (extended cut is better then not having it, but it is still bullcrap) without wanting to realize their misstake (face it: a writer writing awesome books (in a series) will still be told he was going wrong if the ending sucks (even if it would have been planned like that in the first place - which in Mass Effect it was not, the story would have gone a lot different (dark energie etc.))

I did not buy any of the ME3 dlcs although I have all from games 1 & 2. Strange, huh?
What I hope for is another games with less "artistic integrity" restrictions on the dev team.

We know for sure now that they're sticking to their broken ending until the end. What a shame that an otherwise amazingly-talented studio had its reputation spoiled by a few writers and one of the worst PR departments known in all of gaming.

First 2 games were good, ME3 was pretty bad (or at least the last segment was......lets hover the Normandy and chat infrot of a reaper while were supposed to be rushing to this beam.....and that war assets were essentially useless...). Not tried any paid ME3 DLC so unless this last one is great, i dont see myself playing that either.
Glad they are going to get on with the next ME game, though i just hope they listen to all the feedback.......artistic integtrety..pfft.

All ending controversy aside, I'm really glad I've gone on this journey with Bioware. These games have had a special place in my mind in a way that no other games have ever had. They will always mean the world to me. Mass Effect to me is maybe the greatest story ever told, and the universe is just unbeatable to me. Thank you Bioware Edmonton.

This puts a lot more pressure on this upcoming DLC to be something really really REALLY special. It needs to be epic and awesome and fun.... and bring me to tears.

I just have the sinking feeling that I am going to put down around 20 dollars for the DLC...and get like 2 hours of gameplay.
I hate making comparisions like this, but I am going to put down 20 dollars for the new skyrim dlc...and I KNOW I will get WAY more than 2 hours of gameplay.
But in the end, we just have to wait and see. Hope all the VA's are back...including mr javik.

Finally, after a year and few months I'll be able to get the Skyrim DLC though, and at half off.

Is it awful if this picture makes me feel really sad? It must be so strange for them, to be over and done with such a huge and project. Do we know what the BioWare Edmonton team is working on next, if not ME?
From the perspective of someone who strongly disliked the conclusion, I am thankful to the BioWare team for a mostly absolutely amazing experience. They got me to look at an entire form of media in a very different light.
I volunteer a a children's hospital and after playing ME, I started a program to get college students in every week to play games. I don't know if there's anything more amazing than watching someone who's been really sick forget all about it, because they're too busy running around being Commander Shepard (and deciding who they're going to romance...). One of the teenagers I played ME2 with is now in college studying genetics and I seriously think her love of Mordin had something to do with this
I will forever hold games (including BioWare's) to a high standard because of Mass Effect.
