Someone please tell me the logic behind making an expansion pack while the current game is riddled with more bugs than modern warfare 2 has plotholes. It's ridiculous. I think you should sort out the bugs that stop us getting rewarded from doing quests, or even, actually being able to finish quests we finish. Shouldn't that be your priority? The game has been out for over 2 months now, and I am still constantly running into bugs, such as, I have quests on my quest list which can't be finished, because the NPC I have talk too doesn't say anything about it, we can't get the Shaperate Sword, I mean, seriously, shouldn't your priorty to fix your current content before releasing even more.

as you will no doubt hear, the DLC people are an entirely separate entity so they are free to produce more content without doing what a smaller or more unified workforce would have to do first.  they can also count on the fact that enough people do have a bug-free game (or are tolerant enough) to not really have an incentive to fix the problems.

ever see Fight Club where Ed Norton explains how a car company determines whether it will do a recall or not?  sort of like that.

Here's a thought:

Maybe they have separate teams of people who work on patches and expansion packs. And maybe, just maybe, the people working on the expansion pack couldn't fix any bugs anyway(?)

Just a guess....

"ore bugs than modern warfare 2 has plotholes"?

I guess Modern Warfare 2 doesn't have many plot holes. Seriously, stop whining.

Lots of people happen to want new content to play, me included. I don't see a reason why YOUR priorities should be the only ones that count.

While indeed the above posts are true,
I think it would help alot if a Bioware rep showed up here now and again to say "We know, we are looking into it"

My only issue (apart from random crash ones) is with screen flickering when a screen shot is taken during a cut-scene, I would just like to know that they are aware of this issue.

Oh no, we can't get the Shaperate sword!

Halt all development, this MUST be fixed!

I've completed the game and done most of the quests. I had the problem of quests hanging around and put it down to bugs.

BUT - with a little bit more exploration, and some judicious use of the Dragon Wiki, I found that they were almost all completable - the one exception being if you take both starting quests from the various factions in Orzammar. One always seemed to remain.

So, dude, just .... try harder!

For the OP, I suggest you make a log of those bugs and present them in the Technical forum that most suits you. They will most likely have answers for your problems, this forum...probably not.

And anyway it's pretty silly to assume they have one team working on everything. I would bet they have an expansion team, DLC team and testing team at the very least all working at the same time on whatever it is they have on their plate.

There's very few bugs considering the size of the game I think and the more we report these other known bugs, the better chance they'll look into it.

There are VERY few bugs actually, a few glitches yes, but not bugs.

@Abriael_CG and JointVW

No. It has plotholes everywhere. http://www.gamesrada...120123332495077 Go read that, it tells them.

@Cuthlan

That's just an example, there's a load more. Go look at the wiki, it has a list.

@Krucible

I know exactly who I have to talk to, the quest log even tells me, I talk to him and he doesn't say anything about it.

I've never had quests stuck in the log, I don't care about the shaperate sword, I don't have DLC issues, and the only bug that has ever really been an issue for me is Vaughn in Arl Howe's dungeon doing the snoring bit. I have no framerate issues.I play the PS3 version, and it has been for the most part bug-free.

I want more content. I want expansions.

It's been out 2 whole months and they haven't made it perfect YET?

Games have bugs. I doubt there's ever been a game that's worked perfectly for everyone who's played it. If they stopped producing new material until the game did work perfectly for everyone, there would never be any new content.

And I do agree that they'd most likely have different teams that do different things.

As I understand it the patch team is different than the expansion team for Bioware.

I play on the XBox 360 and the only glitch I get here and there is the character voices stop. Easily solved -- I play with the subtitles turned on. Makes getting the peripheral dialogue easier too, so it's not a hardship. Otherwise, the game is exceptional.

Nothing likely about it good sir. BW devs have stated themselves that there are seperate teams for these things.

DAO has serious bugs? Since when? I haven't noticed any. The only thing that doesn't work right is the character update thing, but that's the website's fault I think.

it doesnt have any game braking bugs, perhaps your playing on a to high detail level.

i did that and it made my game crash more and more often.

Actualy I would say those on the xbox that have run into the corrupted saves after putting dozens of hours into the game only to lose their saves would care to have a word with you :P  Remember just because you yourself have not experianced these bugs does not mean they do in fact exsist.
