It is better that Shepard dies, so that he/she doesn't have to face the accusations of how he/she betrayed EDI, Legion, Geth, and at the same time destroyed millions of years of DNA and knowledge stored in the Reapers.
Imagine millions of years of harvested data, all destroyed and lost forever.

It was lost before that.

The reapers/catalyst were a waste of that stuff. They weren't, as it turned out, much more intelligent than my old dog. Who repeatedly tried to run through a door with a 2,5 meter wide stick in it's mouth.

Betrayed? No. Both said they would die to see the Reapers defeated, both in words and just by joining the war. That's what soldiers do, signing up is an agreement to die for whatever your superiors want.

and at the same time destroyed millions of years of DNA and knowledge stored in the Reapers.
Imagine millions of years of harvested data, all destroyed and lost forever.

Shepard destroyed Reaper tech? Oh no! What will we ever do? Everyone will be so mad! :pinched:

The lost information is not Reaper tech. The Reapers saved the DNA and knowledge of all the destroyed races. There is no point to store all these information if they don't plan to extract the data out someday.

As the computer Joshua said in the Wargames movie, the best thing to do when you can't win is not to play.

DNA? Yes. Memories. Very unlikely. They don't plan on doing anything with it, the Reapers are just twisted shrines and memorials to the people they killed.

Like Conrad Verner's shrine of Shepard, if it were made out of all the Shepards that died in Critical Mission Failures or the end of ME2 or ME3.

Oh my aching head.

Easy enough to fake if necessary.

"Oh, all the synthetics died? I guess the Crucible trageted all of them. I had no idea. What a shame."

I don't even think this could be called beating a dead horse anymore. It's just a pile of unrecognizable rotting meat at this point.

It's almost kinda sad now.

Clever... except Shep dies in all 3 endings. The breath scene is nothing but a tease. It's nothing more than an easter egg.

What you are really saying is "My interpretation is the exact opposite of everything the game and the developers suggest, but it's still the only true one and everyone who claims otherwise is wrong."

Who exactly would be accusing shep of killing the Geth and Edi? Like really who would come up to shep after he destroyed the reapers and say I can't believe you sacrificed the Geth and edi to stop them! You monster!

Especially considering many don't understand synthetics anyway.

Yep! There's a reason the heroic death shows up nonstop in the classics.

I don't usually gank allies when there's another option. But when I do, I do it without warning them. :innocent:

Gank allies? What does that even mean? No I had to make
A choice and I did, that's why I sacrificed kaiden to save ash, I sacrificed alliance vessels to save the council, I sacrificed the batarians to slow the reapers , I sacrificed the Geth to destroy the reapers. I did what needed to be done and sometimes sacrifices had to be made for victory to be achieved. Who in the galaxy will judge me on these actions? What have they dont to try and secure this galaxies future? It was shep actions that saved them and brought an end to the cycle and the reign of the reapers but it was not a victory easily won.

Nice try, but the Geth and EDI are soldiers, and every soldier knows sacrifices are necessary. Control and Synthesis are compromises, and the Geth said they would have no further compromises with the Old Machines.

Besides, it doesn't matter. Give me an excuse for the forced alteration of every being in the galaxy. I dare you.

Ask the dead if honor matters. Some people want to save everyone.

That being said, my favorite's control, so I picked the bottom dead protagonist option... Or was it the middle one? Also, I rather like blue.

Except their sacrifices aren't necessary to stop the war.

Refuse.

Eventually.

AND you get a dead protagonist!
