Besides, it doesn't matter. Give me an excuse for the forced alteration of every being in the galaxy. I dare you.

Ask the dead if honor matters. Some people want to save everyone.

You do realize that favours destroy, and bashes synthesis and control right?

Top.

I don't usually gank allies when there's another option. But when I do, I do it without warning them. :innocent:

Nice try, but the Geth and EDI are soldiers, and every soldier knows sacrifices are necessary. Control and Synthesis are compromises, and the Geth said they would have no further compromises with the Old Machines.

Besides, it doesn't matter. Give me an excuse for the forced alteration of every being in the galaxy. I dare you.

Except their sacrifices aren't necessary to stop the war.

You didn't give me an answer.

Shepard has literally no reason to think anyone will ever stop the Reapers if he fails to act.

They are necessary if you never want to worry about reapers again. Ofcourse if the reapers still being around doesnt worry you then sure there another way. The only problem with that is how shep feels about the reapers isn't how everyone else in the galaxy feels about the reapers and you are no longer around to vouch for the reapers.

There is no exscuse, why does there have to be?

Now answer truthfully, do you think the Geth and EDI would be okay with you killing them when there are other options available that achieve the same thing without their deaths?

Or it can be read as bashing destroy, since existence is usually read as  preferable to not existing. Which is what I was shooting for.

It's an oversimplification, of course, but that's kind of the joke of this thread. I think.

There is no option to defet the reapers without them being killed so the "same thing" Cannot be achieved otherwise.

The point is to stop the war and save the galaxy.

1. You're saying you don't need an excuse to alter everyone ever?

2. To answer: Yes. Without any doubt. They've told me that's what they would expect of me. And the other options are no-gos.

There is no other option that involves the Reapers deaths, therefore EDI and the Geth would be just as okay with it as every single other person that's fighting in this way. If Destroy killed 95% of all life in the galaxy I'd still pick it.

Just like leaving someone behind on Virmire, sacrificing ships to save the Destiny Ascension, or sacrificing 300,000 Batarian civilians to slow the Reapers down.

Given that last one, their consent is irrelevant anyway.

According to Casey Husdon, it is to blow them up.

1. No, I'm saying there is no excuse for it just like their is no exscuse for commiting genocide to stop a war.

2. Really? Tell me where the Geth or EDI tell you to kill the Reapers? Tell me why they wouldn;t favor Synthesis?

One of the options really needs to be protagonist dies and becomes antagonist.

But anyways, I chose protagonist lives and antagonist dies.

It is better that Shepard dies, so that he/she doesn't have to face the accusations of how he/she betrayed EDI, Legion, Geth, and at the same time destroyed millions of years of DNA and knowledge stored in the Reapers.
Imagine millions of years of harvested data, all destroyed and lost forever.

Easy enough to fake if necessary.

"Oh, all the synthetics died? I guess the Crucible trageted all of them. I had no idea. What a shame."

You're a monster, you know that, right?

That's like shooting Mordin, Wrex, and Shiala.

So, if this was WWII and we could win by nuking our allies and enemies at the same time, it would be okay? Posted Image

All three endings stop the Reapers. So does refuse, eventually.

All three endings have pros and cons. That's the best thing about the endings we got, in my opinion.

I've picked all three on various Sheps! My noir paragade vanguard chose control to protect as many people and as much knowledge as possible without taking a chance on an unknown. My terminally fluffy bunnies paragon soldier went with synthesis as a way to take one more leap of faith on an optimistically presented unknown for her friends. My pragmatic renegon goofy sentinel decided she was going to shoot the tubes and take care of the damn problem.

And when I get around to my IT'S MY WAY OR THE HIGHWAY renegade, he'll be shooting the kid out of frusteration and accidentally the whole galaxy.

I was told by Hackett dead reapers is how we win this and to defeat the reapers no matter the cost. Not unless you have to sacrifice the Geth then nevermind kill yourself and make everyone alike because that's how how we win this. And How is deatroy genocide? Who would even bring up the Geth besides to honor there sacrifice in the war? You took these soldiers to battle some live some die but they are all fighting to destroy the reapers. And please don't kid yourself, who in the whole game talked about keeping the reapers around after the war besides Tim? This was defiantly about destroying the reapers before they wipe us all out.

If it we couldn't kill them otherwise, then yes. Real life doesn't work too well because true evil, like the Reapers, only exists in fiction.

If we're going to be all horrible and realistic, you could compare that to nuking civilian centers in Japan. Though that was also to avoid a long, drawn out war with more casualties and....

Actually, comparing those is a pretty decent analogue for why I don't like drawing conclusions via oversimplification if I can help it.
