Hi everyone, I'm undecided on what to try for my second playthrough of BG2. I wish to be evil, but I'm undecided which class could be more funny. I've got three choices, essentially:

Kensai\\mage
Barbarian
Berserker\\mage

Wonder with which of these I would enjoy the game the most. I wonder, whom do you think is the most enjoyable.

Also, based on the three class up, I wonder which one of these is the best for a Solo run.

Thank you.

IMO the best evil class is Priest... of TALOS With something like ‘Intimate’ by Kerem Beyit as my portrait.

I would go with Berserker/Mage simply because magic becomes more and more important as the game goes on, and to me Kensai and Solo run are a contradiction in terms.

A couple of considerations:

-There's already an evil Berserker in BG2. He's a dwarf (so no dual classing) and he can be found in copper coronet. Evil teams don't have a lot of options (compared to good teams at least) so you might want to grab something else.

-There's a component in the BG2Tweaks mod that allows Barbarians to dual class just like a Fighter would (i.e, cleric, mage, druid, thief). That may change your opinion if you really wanted a Barbarian. http://www.gibberlin...weaks/index.php

-If you're not playing a thief PC, your only option for thief abilities will be Jan, who is neutral, as there are no evil thieves. I'd fall back onto a mod NPC (I have a couple I've been meaning to try) but as it's still only your second playthrough you might not want to do that.

So of those three I'd go Kensai/Mage, simply because I think Kensai are more fun than Barbarians. My opinion really doesn't matter though - do what you want. You could solo with any of them given enough effort, though depending on difficulty, mods, and whatever else Kensai could be a difficult starting class.

Why Berserker/Mage? I say either Kensai/Mage, Half-Orc Barbarian or Berserker/Cleric.

The Sorcerer is quite fun for an evil mage too. Sucks in melee but there's no Sorcerer and he is quite devastating.

Thanks to everyone.

I wonder: is playing an evil half orc barbarian funny ?

It's not funny but it's fun. ;) The half-orc barbarian can start with 19 STR and CON and when he Rages it can go 23. 25 is the maximum. So that's pretty powerful. The bad thing is that he has worse armor but more HP and some other stuff.

I say make a Half-Orc Barbarian and pick Korgan in BG2. He's a Chaotic Evil Dwarf Berserker. That way there's no overlapping with two Berserkers.

But be very very careful. Don't let your reputation drop too low or you will be constantly hunted down by guards.
But don't take it too high or else evil member will leave at 18 reputation.

Hurry and get Korgan from the tavern and Viconia from the district. (Not sure of their names). Try to get Jan too as he is the best Thief in the game and can serve as your mage until you get Edwin. Edwin is tricky to get so be careful, read some walkthroughs to make sure.
Many people take Haer'Dalis as the sixth member but that's up to you. Though you want Sarevok in Throne of Bhaal.
Though having 3 mages can be a pain with the scrolls.

Thank you, I will take a look at it.
I'm kinda scared to play a barbarian for the fact that it has less immunities compared to the berserker when they are both enraged;

also I feel like melee fighter become kinda useless into Tob without magic ;)
