My party simply can't kill these 2 Loup Garou guys at Ulgoth's Beard, at level 6 they just slaughter both of my otherwise beefy tank characters. Can I just skip this fight or will my party turn in werewolves randomly and kill anything nearby?

You will indeed come to a sticky end I'm afraid if you don't kill Mendas. Have you fully buffed up for the fight - potions such as giant strength, defence, speed and regeneration make a huge difference even if you don't have any spells available?

I ended up just ctrl-y killing the werewolves in the house, none of my guys could do anything really. I had no bastard sword users that could wield the balduran sword properly, and my only mage was Xan at level 6 and he didn't have much firepower at all. I could barely even get one of the werewolves to injured status, it was either stop playing or cheat.

Lol, I thought Ao specifically instructed that no "god" may intervene with the struggles of any Bhaalspawns.Posted Image

I found it to be one of the toughest battles in the game as well.
I usually spam loads of paralysis/stun causing magic at the pair of them (wand of paralysation, chromatic orb etc...) until they are both paralysed.
Then give my best fighters Balduran's Sword and the Silver Dagger and try to hit them with everything I have, including machine-gun magic missiles.
Focus on them one at a time until they drop before switching to t'other.

All I know is that I dread going to that Island.

Have to do it lest I be a chicken but last time through I think I took four reloads.

I killed Karoug but I know he took my PC, et al, at least one time.

Then, completely beaten, made the mistake of resting in the caverns & my NPs turned into Loups Garous and beat me up enough to cause another reload...

We even finally got off the island and went to Beregost or something...completely exhausted thinking we could rest there. Nope. More Loups Garous!

Ugh!

We finally whipped Mendas and the other Loup Garous  that was w/him.  Like I said, I think I ended up with four reloads on the Balduran Islands and quests.

The sword of Balduran and Silver Dagger help immensely. I think the wand of Paralyzation helped too by imobilizing the Wolfweres so we could beat on them.
