System Properties->Advanced->Startup and recovery / Settings-> turn off automatic restart
Generally though this kind of errors indicate that you memory got corrupted or some such.

When you get a blue screen of death, with an error like for example IRQ not less or equel, then you have a memory problem.

Below is a post I made in another thread:

There was a small but significant portion of people who had this problem with the pre-release Chracter Creator. I had hoped that it was *just* a problem with the CC, but it turns out it happens in the game too.
For me, the problem is the CPU. The game pushed the CPU to 100% useage, and my computer shut down due to over heating, usually in the space of about 10-15mins.
Just out of interest, my specs are:
Dell XPS M1730
Intel® Core2 Extreme CPU X9000 @ 2.80GHz (2 CPUs), ~2.8GHz
3070MB RAM
2x NVIDIA GeForce 8800M GTX
Zalman 17 inch laptop cooler
This does not happen with some fairly high-draw games, such as Age of Conan, which can be run on full settings with no problems.
Like I said, I was hoping that it wouldn't happen with the full version of the game, but unfortunately it does. My advice, and it seems to also help some other people is to:
- Turn on V-sync
- Run the game in windowed mode
- Turn off anti-aliasing
This allowed me to get the CC running, but it wasn't enough for the actual game. To run that for any period of time, I've had to turn the graphic detail from "Very High" to "High". Most effectively, though, is that I've had to point a external fan directly at the laptop to get more air circulation around. This seem to allow me to run the game for playable episodes.
I have no idea whether this is some kind of bug, or an intended feature. I was pretty amazed that the CC alone could overheat my laptop.
My FURTHER advice would be that everyone having this problem should be vocal about it and see if we can get some kind of response from Bioware, who didn't say anything during the CC problems.
For the record - my duct-tape and saliva patchwork cooling arrangement is well worth the game. It's brilliant so far, and I'm enjoying it immensely. I do, however, wish that I didn't have to worry about the very real possibility of it melting my computer to slush.

The game itself is fantastic. I'm having a blast playing it, but knowing that it could be causing actual and expensive hardware damage does tend to take the shine off things.

yea I checked the temps and its loading the hell out of my cpu, gettin 4 cores to about 85+ C and rising, til it just completely shuts down the computer, would sure like a fix from bioware, I have never had issues in any game ever b4, and this game...its not like its progressively bad over time...its like..the second i load into game it starts rising quick.
You need to reapply thermal paste between your heat sink and your CPU, I had this problem a few weeks ago after I are dusted my pc.
Temperatures getting up to 90 on 50% processor load and the system shutting down. So I Bought some new paste reaplied it now at about 100% load the CPU case temperature never gets above 44, at idle its around 20 - 25.
It's your computer the game is just putting it underload that's all, it should be able to cope. I have a similar 4 core cpu.

If so, switch it out NOW. Otherwise, did you use thermal paste when applying the new fan - did you cover the CPU properly?
A game heating up your CPU by that much usually is a sign of the hardware not doing it's job properly instead of a game asking too much of the hardware.

50C at idle is wya to high should be <40C I have a similar processor and it's 20 - 25C until I put serious load on it.
Really OP you need to fix this it will be shortening the lifespan of your CPU a lot. I have a quad core 2 and 85C also goes way above it's listed thermal rating (71C) mine was getting to 90 before it shutdown to though.

Anything above 75c is just not good, you might not be IT literate but it might be an idea to remove the fan and heatsink and reapply some heat paste to your CPU or simply get a better heatsink and fan for your CPU
Lower temps = longer CPU life

This problem seems to only be affecting a small percentage of the playing population, but I do hope the issue is taken seriously by anyone from Bioware reading the forums.

It's not their fault if your CPU over heats, your computer should not overheat even if the CPU is running at or near 100%, it's a hardware issue.

If the OP has a similar processor that tops 70C at 100% load or when loaded for more than a few minutes it's a hardware cooling issue. If they aren't IT literate they should take it to a repair shop cheaper in the long term.

Yea I do have vsync on, btw I am running windows 7, and as for turning up fans, I could do so, if I remembered how, and even still nothing else does this, i just loaded up bioshock turned it all the way up, dx10 on, all that, and never got past 78 C, so I highly doubt its much past just this game.
It's not the fans it's the thermal paste is my guess, you should have paste between the CPU and the Heat sink if there isn't enough or it's dried out and flaky that's your issue. Believe me mine was just as bad I put new paste in and now it's chilled out.
All your OS and software is unimportant and raising fan speed won't matter if the thermal paste is knackered.
And this "well imma have to try that thermal paste then, cuz i did just recently dust my comp, when putting in another HDD." clinches it.
there are some good web sources on how to do this videos on youtube etc. It can be worrying but is actually simple and Thermal paste is relativly cheap.
