My brother's got a raid and I'm unfortunately out of town visiting family and away from my own computer, so I'll leave you guys to continue derailing and making more and similar offensive comments to band behind and assure each other are funny.   You've gotten your steam going and don't need me for that!

When I am at school there is a minimum of one Penis joke a day as soon as I meet my buddies. Usually a lot more.

Was fun while it lasted, sorry Callie, your moment of fame might be over, but you'll always be remembered semi-fondly by all of us as the Little Troll that Did.

It dried up because we were all wondering whether you meant you think Zevran is hot.  ;)

Nothing sadder than a dried up thread of unmentionables...

...is, I think, when Morrigan and Dog interact and there's an option to tell Morrigan that a dead animal "couldn't be stinkier than what usually goes into" her underwear.

Get it? lol.  Women's sex organs smell like fish.  Or dead animals.  Or something gross.

Mmm...smells like misogyny.

I'm pretty sure I'm not being a hardline feminist here saying this line is specifically expressing hatred for women's genitals.  It's not like I don't call crap when people say "lolol the penis is so ugly" (especially "lolol the uncircumsized penis is so ugly") and happily support the artists I know actively working to take the perception of obscenity from male nudes in art andthe  American media.  However, Dragon Age in particular doesn't have a throwaway line (that I know of) describing men's sex organs as an object for disgust.

It could, and I'm just throwing this out there, mean that the player thinks Morrigan shoves ungodly things in there usually. I mean, she is a witch of the wilds after all. The fact that you even thought that comment was sexist says to me that you may be yourself. :P

I think people who are saying the game has nasty lines are missing the point a bit. Yes they do. That is part of the story. Lots of messed up characters in there. Vaughn and his men say some really terrible things. Because they are bad men. And it made it that much better when my city elf ripped them up.

Heck there is slavery in the game. This is a dark game.

One thing I admit is my favorite dwarf Oghren uses a lot of negative slang for lesbians. He is obviously bitter abour Branka.

I've been skimming over this thread...

I got to this one and I just want to say........

Thank you. -_-

The game is riddled with slavery, the elves are segregated, Ohgren bashing lesbians, etc. and OP.. you talk about one line that was meant as sarcasm or a joke when you click on your dog in camp.

If I could find that video that said REALLY?!? Come on!!!...  I'd put it here...

This thread and the OP are just goofy... I'm sorry but overanalyzation and rage like that is just stupid. Its a frackin' game. Get over it.

You are not made to choose that reply, so who the frack cares?

  The things people will do for an achievement!

But I don't know when I'll get the achievement for sleeping with Morrigan, at least not without someone's life on the line.  And then I usually shove Alistair under the bus--I mean, into her bed.

Not really.  Not when I have to kill them all and pin it on you somehow.  But I'm still alive now and I have some time to work on it.

I'll have to cry and be all distraught and that ruins the makeup.  But thanks for thinking of me, that's kinda sweet.

Nurses are actually pretty tough.

But I cannot tell you how many tickets I've talked my way out of by looking blonde and helpless and about to cry and also seemingly unable to produce my license and registration without my hands and voice shaking.  I'm not proud.

Female cops can be harder.  I did get a ticket from her.  *sigh*

Oh well, we're not all perfect at seducing female cops and thus avoiding the horrors of minor fines and tickets  :(

Seriously, though, you all want to read that blog. Godly material in there. I recommend "Love Letters from Dick"

That's more or less irrelevent.  Institutionalized sexism affects both male and female behavior.  If you're suggesting women don't behave in misogynistic ways you have only to look as far as the popularity of, say, tabloid magazines and how women in the American culture have been trained to tear each other down to enhance their own feelings of desirability and self-worth.

Projecting the idea that Morrigan's a **** and her genitals are gross, as the game as a whole allows the player to do with a variety of 'funny' lines, is still objectionable whether the script is written by a man or a woman.

you really need to get over it. it's a game. take the feminism somewhere else. and what is this with everyone having issues with american media, culture, and everything else? it seems like men and america are the source of every problem on the planet the way people talk on here.
