Could someone help me please.

Ive taken up the quest where one of the elves asks you to find his wife in the forest. Ive found her (ages ago!!) and taken her scarf after she died. The quest screen tells me to return the scarf to her husband. But at the elven camp he is simply nowhere to be seen. I have searched and searched (with the quest being marked as active) and just cannot find him. Its like hes simply vanished.

I have long since given up and moved on but it is really bugging me as I havent many optional quests remaining and I dont want to leave anything unfinished. Am I looking in the right place or is this some sort of bug?

The guy you are looking for would be to the right of where the keeper is, across from the guy who runs the store in the Dalish camp.

Edit: His name is Athras.

The main forest quest is complete and the keeper is dead. Believe me Ive checked the entire camp. I just cant find him anywhere.

He might have disappeared when you finished the main quest

Thats looking more and more likely. I just wish the game would let me know and shelve the quest for  me. It did so with lothering, I didnt resue the prisoner and it got overrun by the darkspawn. The quest screen told me so....

The disappearing questgiver happened to me also with... what's his name... the guy you bring the wolf pelt to so that his lady love with marry him. He poofed after the main quest was done in that area and the quest stayed in my log. Not a huge issue, more of an annoyance.
