 Just wondering.

It has been thrown about that it will be possible to import saves from both former games, so do you guys think that this could mean that a Warden who made the ultimate sacrifice in DA:O might possibly be united with an Orlesian Warden-Commander fromn its expansion(if you start new game in Awakening)

Or just that DA:OA and DA2 files can be coupled..

Well if you play a DA:A campaign that imports an Ultimate Sacrifice Warden, and then import that into DA ][, pretty sure it's possible.

Not exactly sure about what you're suggesting.

DA 2 doesn't recognize Orlesian Warden Commander. Import from Awakening without DAO's save would render DA 2 to use default history for the warden. And the only way for you to create an Orlesan Warden commander is in Awakening through fresh new character - which I did, thus having to avoid the Ultimate Sacrifiying warden turn into walking zombie in Awakening.

Does he? have you ever tried an ultimate sacrifice import?

Warden will always turn in a zombie if importing an ultimate sacrifice import. No exceptions. Unless there's a mod out there that changes that...

Hmm, that's a shame. Don't know then.

I have no idea what the question is. What does "be united with" mean? If your Warden made the sacrifice and you played a new Warden in Awakening then your Origins Warden is dead as dirt.

I have.

And this is what  happen to the walking zombie in Awakening, despite BioWare constantly refuse to admit, "retconning" the US warden.

It would make better sense if you do not import DAO's ultimate sacrifice warden into Awakening by starting a new game with the new Orlesian Warden.

Unfortunately, DA 2 doesn't recognize Orlesian Warden Commander. Import from Awakening without DAO's save would render both ultimate sacrifice warden and the Orlesian warden commander non-existence.

DA 2 would recognize the Ultimate sacrife warden  if you import DAO's save through awakening,
but NOT the Orlesian Warden commander.

The import feature assume that if you make ultimate sacrifice in DAO then the Orlesian Warden Commander in Awakening doesn't exist - which is sucked, considering the Orlesian Warden Commander is the most sensible choice to be in Orlais in DA 3 after the Hero of Ferelden died in DAO.

I think the OP means you import two save files: a DAA or DA2 file that sets decision flags for decisions made post-DAO, and a DAO save file with the decisions made by the Warden that died there.

I did this recently, orlesian warden into DA2, and yes, the premade story that the game selected to fill Origins warden was a living Cousland.
But, fiddling with the "state of the word" command in the console and, in that particular save, the orlesian warden appears as awakening's warden, only that Origins warden is not dead and did the DR.

So, I would LOVE if BW gave us some tool to change plot flags like these and be able to right some other wrongs too.

They should have had the option to import a Ultimate Sacrifice Warden's back story and choices into Awakening for use with an Orlesian Warden-Commander just as imported living Wardens should have imported a version of Oghren into the expansion based upon our build for that character in DA:O. Sadly it's too late now...

Yeah, I really wish they had done this. I dislike using a zombie Warden so I end up not playing Awakenings at all for my US Warden's playthrough. Would've been nice to be able to use the Orlesian warden. Oh well.

For that matter, US Wardens linked to Orlesian Wardens should have also transferred over Oghren the way we built him in DA:O.

Checklist seems like the obvious way that this would be solved

I have made two US+Awakening Imports to DA2,and DA2 recognizes the things that happened in Awakening(got the "Traitor" and "Nathaniel" quest),but also that my Warden made the Sacrifice(Bodahn and other NPCs say shes dead,as does the codex). So i think DA2 just takes it as if the Warden in Awakening was the Orlesian Warden, thus nothing is retconned.^^

It's funny because the only way an ultimate sacrifice warden plus orlesian warden commander can be the "setting" for DA2 is to choose the Martyr preset.
