 Were the ending choices "backup" solutions?Something the Catalyst would use when the Reapers were useless?The Catalyst said that because  Shepard was the first organic in that secret chamber in the Citadel,his solution wouldn't work anymore and that they had to find a new solution (being Destroy,Control,or Synthesis).It looks like the Reapers added these solutions on the Citadel and when someone reached that chamber,they'd know that they'd need to use a different solution.Control could give someone who has a different perspective on the problem than the Catalyst use the Reapers to find a different solution.Destroy can be a reset button delaying the inevitable for as long as possible by destroying all synthetics and the Reapers including a lot of our technology.Synthesis could be fo when the time is right,the stars ar alinged,everyone is ready,and blah blah blah and completely solves the problem when everyone is ready.

  Or were the ending choices new solutions?Could the Crucible give the Catalyst just the right amount of......Power?Knowledge? To come to these solutions?The Crucible changed the Catalyst and gave him new possibilities.Dis the Crucible improve the Catalyst in a way?Was the Crucible originally designed to give the Catalyst new knowledge and data on how to solve the problem?The Crucible does (suspiciously) fit right in the Citadel.What do you guys think?
