I have noticed that some players intentionally play characters who are of the opposite sex of them.

What do you think about this?

I will play the male Alliance characters because I don't want to play the weaker female versions. Other than that what other players play as doesn't bother me.

The female version is weaker?  That's something i didn't know.  What class are your referring to?

I don't, I would think guys would love to play BA girls, girls play BA guys, vice versa.

I like some of the armor set ups better on females, like the Human Female Engineer/Infiltrator armor.

Plus I feel like there's a smaller hitbox for females, probably doesn't exist... but I always seem to do better with the female variants.

But I don't really care what gender people play, to each their own.

In honesty I play mostly human soldier, and my current preferred is the male, before that it was the female. It's how the flavor of the month goes. The argument that "If I am going to stare at an ass for a few hours, at the least I'm gonna make it pretty." applies.

I use both genders and build them differently for example I might have a male human infiltrator built with shot guns and my female build for sniping

 This is obviously a troll topic, but I'll bite. why would it be weird? It's a character, in a game, do you find it weird that you shoot people in the face and make their head explode? Is that reflective of what you do in real life? Same deal with playing a character, what gender you play doesn't necessarily say anything about you. Besides, characters like the fury and shadow are too damned fun NOT to play them.

I don't normally care if the pixels I use to melt faces with have boobs or not. That being said, I like playing male characters probably more than female ones. Dem sexy voices.

I personally don't think it's weird. I like playing as female characters. Rolled a lot of FemSheps and whatnot. Also, as others mentioned, there are some absolutely amazing female kits in multi. Rolled female chars in Skyrim, DA, etc. I try to do a mix though.

I dunno, I like what I like, and don't really agonize over why I think it's fun to mix it up with female chars. I also don't game a ton with real-life friends, but when I have, they haven't given me any stank if a play a female. Don't get me wrong though, I'm a man's man.
