Is it weird for players to play the opposite sex?

In fact, I have my human males and females set up differently so that I have two characters with the same powers but with different setups and load-outs. My manguard has double nova with a wraith, my femguard has single nova with a harrier... stuff like that. Works like a charm.
Now that I think of it, I vastly prefer playing femshep in single player. The voice actor is much better at delivering some semblance of subtle context. The male voice actor is kinda boring and blah. So, I guess gender does make something of a difference.

i think for most it derives from those basic principles.

any sex is good with me.
You win the internet!
And to answer the OP; no, of course it's not weird. I tend to prefer female characters in video games when given the option.

Sometimes you want to come home and see an Asari or Krogan kick some ass. Other days you want to play as something just to stare at their ass.

smaller hitbox
Has BioWare confirmed that females actually have smaller hitboxes?
Just because the model is smaller doesn't mean the hitbox is.

hitbox
yeah you would.
It makes absolutely no difference to me, I do not project the characters as a representation of myself, they are tools I am using to complete a task.

@Astronaughte ....really? You're playing a game in wich chars can be very "liberal" about their sex preferences, you kill stuff, sometimes torture ppl, damn, you can commite genocide and then that's ok? But, playing with oposite sex char is disgustig? LoL, now that's weird...

Anyway, I have different builds for both genders (both are as effective as each other for the most part, although I hate my Human Male Engineer, he's an idiot). At the end of the day they're people, fictional people at that (that kick ass I might mention). I shouldn't feel weird for playing as a person.

Has it been weird playing as male, its a game.
if i suddenly went shopping in fake N7 armour, that would be weird!
and as the servers are down, i may as well post a comment

This is the reason. I'll always play the default human females, female aliens and non imposing male characters e.g. DrellAir Quotes wrote...
they don't block my screen as much
