So guys aren't supposed to play the Asari in MP now? WTH?

So we aren't supposed to play some in MULTIPLAYER (where you posted this) where we aren't actually making the toons but play by what ones have what abilities? This is the dumbest thread ever in the MP area. Congrats, OP.

Why would you care?
One has tightpant issues the other got chestbumps.Never understood what's the big deal with gender option.

Well which would you rather look at all game long, a chunky hairy male ass, or cute little bouncy mounds of heaven.

smaller hitbox

Has BioWare confirmed that females actually have smaller hitboxes?

Just because the model is smaller doesn't mean the hitbox is.

Yes, they actually brought the topic up, if I recall. It was a LONG time ago, though... either during the demo or right after launch.

Unless you produce evidence, I call BS. If you prove it I'll shut up. I just don't believe the vanilla humans are different in anything other than appearance.

oh hey, this thread for the 1000th time.

No. It's not. Stop worrying about your gender identity.

Another note, I did play female Shepard in the majority of my play-throughs of the series because I found her voice actor so much more compelling at selling me the character than male Shep.

Meer got better in ME3. It seemed like he finally truly got the character down in the last game he will be in (according to Bioware). Jennifer Hale got it in ME1 and kept running with it. Meer was like he really had no clue how to voice Shepard until ME3.

But the OP is not talking about MaleShep FemShep here. He posted in the MP area. There is no Shepard in MP. So that makes this thread even more pointless.

No, why would it?

In terms of the vanilla humans, I'll just pick whomever has the right build atm - which is entirely random. With other classes, like the Fury, I don't have much of a choice, right?

So I really don't see how people derive anything from, e.g. a guy playing as a FHE.

Well, I'm not digging through all the threads from the demo days to try and find it, so you can call BS. That's fine. It's still true, though. FWIW, I think the dev said it's probably a negligable difference, but there is a difference. The same is true of enemies. Nemesi, for example, have a smaller hitbox than troopers.

EDIT:  15 second google seach is all it took. Here ya' go:  http://social.biowar...-9487280-1.html

Nah, I didn't ignore it. I'm just trying to cut down on the 'being a jerk who just has to prove others wrong' thingy.

I trend to use the females cause their Armor coloration are much smoother they are less bulky and also they are much nicer to hear and look at... there's some nuances I don't like while playing the male, notably they are the "same" but the female seems and feels much smoother than the male counter parts whom maybe are just a tad bit "too" bulky?

the basic armor they have is much more tighter and I don't mean like "skin tight sexy" but something the males should be wearing in some cases... cause the MHSol/MHVan both have extreme bulk armor and is a tad bit diffrent in coloring

so it's not the "sex"I just play cause it's fun plus female voices calm me usually

I kind of skimmed this thread, but did only one person prior to myself note that this is a troll thread? Why all the serious replies. Are we assuming the TC started playing games two days ago?

After you post this, I immediately saw your post. Yeah it seems true for some of people

but from my personal view, women are always stronger, reliable and more flexible than Male

sorry for dissapointing you as fellow Male.

As for looks in MP:

I always thinks that female body are smoother and can do many thing related to high speed attact and jump  attack or doing an evasive maneuver action better when they are using battlesuit.

Fine, I should've known better than thinking I could refrain anyway...

No, it's not weird, in fact there are several good reason as to why play the opposite sex.

1.) Aesthetics:
A.) For males: Most games have a tendency to overdraw certain characteristica of their character's appearences to match the game's premise. That for example usually leads to male characters being overly muscular to facilitate the look of someone being "badass" or simply strong with an imposing figure. That however is often almost comical over the top to the point it might looks just silly, very much like extreme bodybuilders don't look much like your iso male dream come true. Some people just don't like that look. In the same notion, female characters are still mostly shaped for sex appeal. That usually results in smoother, more symmetrical character design that not only looks appealing to most people, but is generally closer to natural proportions or the differences aren't that gleaming.

Highlighted statement is a contradiction to:

Neofelis Nebulosa wrote...

B.) For females: Basically the same reasons. Female characters are often oversexualized  (just think of what most people think of female armor, or lack thereof), so even a stereotypical male muscle mountain may be more appealing than looking into a copy of the Playboy magazine each time you play the game.

And don't get me started on the 'I hate looking at a male's butt all the time'...

If I'm playing a female it's because I like her kit...

...shutup.

As for the Alliance characters, I actually mostly play the males, mainly because I couldn't be bothered to press over once more just to pick an identical character.

Note I was talking from different points of view, once from male perspective, once from female perspective. Both have different conceptions to what may be inadequate in their opinion.
Males have undoubtedly generally less issues with overly sexualized females than females do.

So it was not a contradiction, but merely a change of perception.
