lol thanks for the investigation.
33% it is.

do you know if the DOT from multiple shots stacks?
does it stack with other DOT's?

It should stack with other DOTs. I'd imagine it also stacks with itself, but I don't have an authorative answer.

As far as I am aware, multiple shots from the same player do not stack. Multiple harpoons from multiple players do stack, and the bleed effect also stacks with other DoTs such as Reave.

that puts a little more logic into those dps numbers... makes sense.
thank ya.

Actually, it is 33%.

- Bleed damage duration remains at 10 seconds

It seems we're both using out of date informationTeratoid, although this explains the differance in damage between your quote and my link to Cyonan's spreadsheet.

- Bleed damage duration reduced from 10 to 5 seconds (the same damage is spread over a shorter duration)

Emphasis mine.

Also darkpassenger was right, bleed damage has been reduced to 5 seconds.

Yep. But those latest balance changes do explain why it out-dps's the Javelin now, which I don't think it would have done if we go by the old numbers (the ones that Teratoid posted).

can it really outdps the javelin if you can only have one harpoon's stack damage at a time though?
i mean, a reload cancelled javelin is pretty devastating.

Honestly, I don't know. I'm going off of Cyonan's spreadsheet as it's the most reliable source that I know of for that kind of information. I don't know the ins and outs of the Kishock's mechanics. I don't know how charging the gun or stacking the bleed effect affects it's dps. All I know is that on that spreadsheet it's dps (including reload cancel) is 80 higher than the Javelin - which is a not insignificant amount. Maybe with my ignorance of the Kishock's mechanics i'm completley missing something and the numbers don't tell the whole story.

The Javelin is fairly easy to work out, the Kishock isn't, so i'm just going off a reliable source, rather than working it out for myself (yes, i'm lazy :P).

Right, I forgot about the change in October, thank you Toxichobbit.

And I don't believe the Kishock can out DPS a Javelin, assuming both are being reload cancelled. The Javelin doesn't suffer a 40% penalty to its damage up-front. And I don't think bleed damage from the same weapon stacks, but we'll need one of the resident number crunchers/devs to answer that one.

Most of the time bleed damage is wasted cause someone else kills the target, it could do over 9000 damage over 30mins and would not be better than the Javelin.

It certainly won't out dps the Javelin when i'm using it. I don't use it often, but when I do i find that the reload animation is so awesome looking that I end up not reload canceling a lot of the time. The Javelin, on the other hand, I reload cancel whenever I use it.
