I am getting tired of the frackle nackle BS that keeps happening in these matches. Some of the time I end up getting paired with people who refuse to use equipment and are not very good at surviving the endless boss spam. Then we all end up dying right after wave 3. And when I end up getting a good team, the host decides to rage quit on wave ******* 11 because he/she died during extraction and causes everyone to lose their credits! OH boo hoo! You can't get your extraction bonus! Big deal bosh'tet, you can still get the 130,000+ credits that we earned so far. Let's not forget the Walmart-McDonald's servers that decide to screw me over anyways! And then you have the damned glitchers in which those are the only PUGs that seem to get everyone through the matches. Unbelievable. It takes the desire to cheat for credits in order for a random player to stay motivated in completing the match.

It's really becoming a big waste of time and credits. I get it EA, you want me to spend real money. Although I have had some quality PUGs in Platinum, I end up getting screwed over by many more bad ones. I'm done. I don't know how people get lucky to find decent random players, but I know that PUGs and I will never mix well together.  Gold apparently is the only difficulty that contains good random players that don't have cheese dip in their heads and has connection quality that allows me to stay in the game. Not to mention, I can actually earn 80,000+ credits every 20 minutes with a great chance of success compared to the 130,000+ credits potentially earned every 30-40 minutes in Platinum with a low chance of success.

Not possible to insult either Wal-Mart or McDonald's as they are both terrible places that are the lowest quality examples of their given types of places/services.

So what does that tell you about the servers then?

I have a theory that most of the scubs found in platunim games (and gold to some extent) have no intention of winning the match. I theorize that they choose platinum because of the off chance that someone might carry them to wave 10, but are still playing under the expectation of being wiped out before that.

In other words, monetized gameplay making people play outside their skill level because it's equally lucrative (with a chance for a huge payout) since all they are after is the credits.

Imagine if people can browse lobby and people can create lobby with name. You will see Platinum/Gold lobby with name like "Noobs get out', "Noobs = kick", "N7 < 1000 = kick", it will be hilarious to see that

Platinum should've never been added anyway. It's completely stupid.

Gold is completely boring. Running around to 5 different spawn points, relentlessly destroying them... with 0.5% chance of failure... no challenge at all. When you put 4 good players in a Gold match... it's like.. what's the point? The game was over before it began... it's so f'n boring and predictable... with a predetermined outcome.

That your view of the servers is inaccurate.

Oh hey look it's one of the really good players for whom Platinum exists.

Cheers.

Off topic, could someone link me to some platinum guides? I've finally gotten a hand of gold and wanted to move it up a notch.

I usually don't do Plat because it limits my build and gun choices drastically.

Yes platinum is for good players and gold is boring when you have 4 players with high level guns and skills.  Now if the players who cant handle platinum would stop trying to play it or glitch and stick to a difficulty which their manifest and skill level could handle we wouldnt have so many problems.

At the end of the day, it's still just a boss spam crap fest made for a handful of tryhards who think they're "elite" who wouldn't shut the hell up.

Stick to a difficulty that you like and stop insulting others who can handle one you either cant or dont want to play.

And I suppose that making a class that doesn't rely on rushing or nuking spawns to clear waves never once occured to you?

I mean, you're complaining that the game is too easy for a group of four skilled players using an exploitative strategy and expecting that to stand as justification for making the multifactional cluster**** known as Platinum, but completely fail to realize that top-notch players using optimally efficient strategies for the game they're playing will always feel that the game is too easy, even though the rest of the communinty may still be sufficiently challenged by it.

If Bioware had thought this through, they'd have nerfed the efficacy of nuking spawns rather than creating an entirely new difficulty setting.

Platinum should be less boss-spammy and have more cannon fodder.

Waves 1-2 will have your typical faction enemies. Wave 3 will introduce a new faction (like it currently does), and have more troopers and such. Wave 4,the first faction will mix in with a few bosses, albeit at a small volume. Wave 6 will introduce another faction, and the other 2 factions will have the standard troops and bosses.

Wave 7-10 will have half bosses, and troopers. Wave 11 will be just bosses.

This way, taking cover will be a fair issue to deal with, and a bunch of the cheap boss tatics (ie. Magnet grabs), will be lessened to an extent.

This was my envisionment of Platinum, but right now, it's kind of a joke.

I love how any time someone starts to criticize the game it turns into an e-peen war between people who spend more time on the forums than they do the game.
