IT explains it? How so?

Just like in the movie Inception, dying makes you leave the dream.

And just like in Inception, the things done in the dream have real effects on people's minds. Indoctrination is very similar to the act of inception; implanting an idea in someone's head that they think is their own.

Synthesis/Control = Shepard is altered into a husk-like form, then dies
Destroy = Shepard remains normal and dies
Refuse = Shepard is not seen dying and the camera pans out showing him left there, trapped (like in Leviathan)

Really basic stuff.

Since when is indoctrination and inception the same thing?

It isn't. The ITers have no idea what they're talking about and they have absolutely no clue how reaper indoctrination really works.

Thank you for explaining your explanation. Now here's my rebuttal. The game bases itself on certain fundamental rules, some of which line up with those in the real world. Shepard's survival breaks some of these rules. A narrative twist isn't what is going on here, rather it is a narrative inconsistency. Really, this is just basic stuff.

Why did people forget about the Lazarus project? TIM spent all the credits he could to bring Shepard back from the dead. Shepard isn't 100% human anymore. It's not much of a stretch to see that there still are nano-machines inside of him fixing any wounds that come along. TIM would have done everything to make sure his investment didn't die.

After taking the portal up to the citadel, he stopped breathing. The stuff that was inside him brought him back. It also explains how he stops bleeding and is able to regain consciousness.

This "kid" (I'm an adult) indeed knows what he is talking about, unlike most ITers who think indoctrination is like inception, which it isn't. You only need to read Mass Effect Retribution to know that.

You're talking about huskification, which is usually just referred to as indoctrination. There are the things all called indoctrination:

Inception (for lack of a better word) = manipulating a subject's mind

Huskification = turning the subject into an organic/synthetic hybrid slave

Enthrallment = ASSUMING DIRECT CONTROL

The whole point of the Citadel is so they can attack it before anyone knows they exist. That's not going to help them now.

No, the whole point of the Citadel was to divide and conquer the galaxy. The reapers can still do this, but they don't, for some reason. And now it's biting them in the ass, because the galaxy united themselves and manages to launch a massive single attack on the reapes while simultaniously docking the Crucible.

I guess the IQ of the reapers dropped into the negative digits somewhere between the first game and the last game...

When Harbringer decided than one cruiser, easily destroyed by single frigate, is enough to crush entire Systems Alliance, perhaps?

Shepard totally believed that an enemy that can be defeated by one frigate and 12 guys with guns would obliterate the Alliance, too. :D So, it kind of balances out. Everyone in ME is delusional.

There is a slight difference in having cybernetics that fixes bullet wounds and having cybernetics that puzzles your body back together after it was ripped in to tiny little pieces by a explosion that makes Hiroshima looks like a firecracker in comparison Image IPB

The only info they have on the Collectors' ships is that one destroyed the Normandy SR-1 in a minute or two, and it never even had a chance to fight back.

That's how Collectors fight though, they were never planning on taking us on in an even fight.

Not that this is relevant to the fact that Shepard clearly dies in Destroy.

So Synthies get space magic, but we can't have our breath scene? DISCRIMINATION. If you get magic, we ALL get magic. Someone has forgotten the Sharing Song they learned in kindergarten.

Maybe we should just play the "Alive" scene in reverse and see Sheppard takes his last breathe before he dies... FIXED then its like a reverse canon

Inception is not part of indoctrination. And I was not talking about huskification at all, I was talking about Paul Grayson and how he was being indoctrinated. We get to see the process of indoctrination in great detail in Mass Effect Retribution. It's nothing like the fake picture you ITers have about indoctrination, it's nothing like Inception at all.
