well, maybe it will take place hundreds of years after me 3 to the point where the choices are boiled down to mere, slight changes in opening dialouge in me 4...only briefly referenced or touched upon, with subsequent events revealed to merge the divergent choices' consequences in thr me universe

I agree so hardcore with the last line in the article.

If this next DLC is Shepard's last, they better make it something special.

Come on, Bioware. I challenge you to show us the franchise isn't as dead to you as many of the more pompous and vitriolic among these forums claim you are. Lets go out with a bang.

what we said was "it has to be one or the other" meaning either a prequel/interquel or a sequel

if not an AU, but apparently we are not being imaginative enough....so.......I am asking what his alternative to those is

I can't go into detail for fear of accidentally saying the little that I know. And keep in mind that the little I know can change, so even what I know today may not be valid in a month or a quarter or a year, etc. So I definietely don't want you to think "Priestly says X so it must be X (or since many don't trust me, Y)".

As for Crimsontearz's comment, they stated it MUST be X or Y in their opinion. That does not make it so. It just means that they think only X or Y must be valid. To me, that severely limits the remainder of the alphabet of imagination.

But what else is there besides X or Y? Hes right you know. It's either going to be a prequel, a sequel, or a "midquel".

An alternative universe, Why the hell would i care for a new hero with how the old one was treated....But then i very much doubt i'll be the target audience when it's released anyway as shooting games arent my preferred way to play videogames. Hopefully we'll know more of cyberpunk 2077 by the time EA are paying off review site's with ME4....or MEAU...ME Ops...ME of war...ME IGN.

It isn't that hard to fix it. BW can keep the catalyst and stuff in the game. The ending doesn't change. Nothing is canon.... because your game never really ended. IT. Send off ME3 with a proper "post ending" DLC.

Either the next game is a prequel OR they have to find a way to deal with the ending...simple

Which does not implicitly include interquel.

Alternatives to your either/or statement would include parallel stories ('interquel'), reboots, remakes, or AU.

Has Bioware learned nothing from the Tortanic? No..just no. keep it SP I'll even take tact on Horde mode just please...I've already lost The Elders Scrolls. Not Mass effect as well...
