Outsource the next Mass Effect trilogy to CDProjekt RED.
I think it was trying to emulate them that started this whole problem to begin with.

Because that was one of the things that was such a CRIME and an INSULT with ME3.

Personally I want a reboot, no Reapers (at least not at the start or make it a secert only the goverment knows insted of a fact everyone is trying to cover up or ignore)
Make it so your a sciensist/ex-soilder hired by the goverment to look into things, and your lastest one makes you stumble on a prothean beacon that warns you of the threat. Which the goverment already knows about and pretty much now forces you to work with them.
Now what you shoudl be able to do is have opertunitys to inform the public and have an infomation warfare sort if thing going, with the risk of public humilation and being discredited to the point where its hard to get anything done without getting brushed off.

You said it yourself - CDR openly admits it whilst Bioware lied about it. Making a series with lots of choices carrying over and having meaningful impact is difficult; a developer may decide that it is too expensive, and I respect that decision even if I do not necessarily like it - the problems start when you claim to have done the impossible, and then fail to deliver after having taken my money.Kinda funny how people admire CDProjekt Red when CDR openly admits to limiting player choice carrying over from Witcher 2 to Witcher 3.
Because that was one of the things that was such a CRIME and an INSULT with ME3

If you do the writing and story in such a convincing way, so people forget about it, then it doesn't matter.

Its been a little over a year already. If you guys are still posting here, it's a high chance that you'll buy the next Mass Effect no matter how much speculation you have conceived. Just tell Bioware what you want in the next game; it's really the only way that the game will change in your favor. Just my two cents.
Tried that with EC
My problems were dismissed, I was called "confused" and trolled with a so-called "Refuse" ending.
So...yeah...not too optimistic on followup games.

Or...
You like them because they're the current "golden boy" of RPG makers (just like Bioware before them and Squaresoft before them)... until they do something RPG fans don't like, then they'll be spit on and venom hurled and every little statement they ever made is ripped of context and turned into a direct attack on their "fans."
Yeah. I've seen this song and dance a few times.

As for the topic itself, The Dark soul series and next-gen consoles matter more now than ME, ME3 ruined the series and Biowares credibility went with it.
Also chemiclord ^^^ it's correct what you say, i personally bought all squaresoft RPG's, Until they started to go downhill in quality and i wasnt there target audience anymore, That led me to bioware/Bethesda and Ever since DA2/ME3 and actually ME2 the quality has nosedived and now im similar to how i was with squaresoft......Bioware games no longer cater to my SP RPG needs.....bethesda still do, And a new developer always comes along and now the dark souls developer caters to me.

And, hey... that's cool. You have a level headed approach, and I like that.
Studios and developers... they change over time. They'll start to do things different, start making different sorts of titles... it happens.
What gnaws at me (and this is something that seems very particular for RPG gamers) is the raw venom and rage that results when such changes happen.
It's not just, "they don't make the sort of titles I like anymore"; it's "**** them, **** their mothers, I hope they all die and get rabies and die again for this slap in the face/dick punch/backstab/insult to me, my friends, my honor, I hope they all die and go to hell three times"... it's a level of raw vehemence I just don't see in fans of any other genre.
It's not a matter of IF CDProjekt Red crosses that line; it's WHEN, and who will be the next sacrficial lamb for the RPG gamer bloodlust after that.

MMO players tend to rage over game mechanics, with a switch that is often flipped with a different group growling and the first group pacified the moment the next patch comes out. The bile can be there, but it's not NEARLY as sustained.

I don't know, WOW and SWTOR forums are pretty much as toxic as here. IMHO.
Anwhow it's a bit OT. My prediction is that "ME4" will be either a prequel, like a PI on the Citadel or something.

ME1 with updated graphics, ME3 combat mechanics and more content (conversation's with crew, LI material, missions) would be very nice.
My thoughts exactly. But the following games shouldn't be remakes of ME2 and ME3, since ME2 is where the trilogy begins to crash.

Now who exactly said that? Maybe some sort of a straw effigy you have constructed?
It's strange how readily and well you simulate unfettered rage though. Maybe that's something to meditate on.

I'm just glad they specifically ruled out "it was all a dream." Which kind of sticks it to the IT crowd but lol.
If they were going to go the IT route, I'd rather they used it in the EC.... I'm not sure how they can make "everyone happy" in ME4 nor do I think they'll try.
