People seem to be forgetting that they've already done all they need to do in order to make everyone happy:

This just confirms that if Shepard had the Mako in ME 3, it would have been no contest. The Reapers would have run screaming.

Now even the hammerhead has more fans than Jacob.

@Sporkfu, do you have a personal disliking, or are you saying that because I made Jacob the victim in my hilarious Monty Python spoof?

I have no idea what to expect from the new Mass effect game.
That is what appeals to me. I want to get into the game knowing absolutely nothing. Let them pure mystery consume me ![]()
Dat Mako tho...

That's why I've been staying away from the DA:I forums. I want to be playing the game first.

I think the Mako should have been incorporated into the final scene with the Catalyst.
Destroy: Shepard just remote pilots it into the tube, the tube explodes and the Mako completely absorbs the shock, protecting Shepard.
Control: The Mako assumes control of the Reapers through an on-board UI.
Synthesis: Shepard remote pilots the Mako down the shaft. All life in the universe is now synthesized with the Mako, creating a new utopia of Mako-based life.
Refuse: Shepard simply runs over the Catalyst, puts it in reverse and backs over him, climbs up the walls a few times and falls on top of him. Catalyst is road kill.

I will say this. From what I've seen and heard about the game up to this point, I like and looking forward to November 18th

@ Sporkfu, When I first met Jacob, I was hoping he would be badass, like SSgt. Griggs from COD4; but sadly like many other black characters I know, he was quite the lameass.

Same here, and I purposely haven't seen or heard very much.

Nothing to do with the color of his skin; to me, he came across as bland and dull and I found him to be fairly useless in combat. The only time he was redeemed was during his citadel DLC meet-up, spending the day with refugee kids and trash-talking shep at the arcade. I let him win at Shattered Eezo just because of that.

I liked it too. Very Lord of the Flies-esque. And a beautiful scenery.
I always thought that Jacob was...ok (as long as you don't romance him).

I liked Jacobs loyalty mission.
It was a pretty good mission gameplay and scenery wise. I was always kind of bummed though because instead of having something related to his time as a Corsair it involved his father who Jacob had already accepted as dead and he is largely unaffected by meeting the guy once the mission is all wrapped up.

I think Jacob would've been a much more interesting character had he still been a corsair, spying on TIM for the Alliance, and maybe have the Hugo Gernsback be the last ship he was assigned to... I dunno how exactly, but something. It was a pretty good mission gameplay and scenery wise. Eh, all they need to do is play 'unchartered worlds' on the galaxy map and people will be more than happy.
This.
Also, Mako.

I'll sum up these.... threads (being generous here) in one phrase.
It isn't BioWare's job to "keep everyone happy." It's their perogative to please as many people as possible.
So can we put this line of though to rest? They're unrealistic and strawman as ****.

Maybe the game will be kinda sorta based off of your Shepards actions...how they will incorporate the game play into an open-world though is beyond me?
