Good point, although - Like I said.. With the ending I reckon it's going to be difficult to make ANYONE happy.. I definately didn't see this much uproar about Me1 or Me2.

Yes but I'm not saying - "How can Bioware handwave their way out of everything.." Because that's not going to keep everyone happy in Me4.. Look at Me3.
Well in that case they cannot. But a lot of people would be happy forgetting it all and moving forward hoping Bioware does not kick them in the nads again
True, they never have and never will make everyone happy. But I imagine many people will be happy once PR for the next game starts. Some amazing trailers, lot's of flashy magazine articles with pretty pictures, great graphics and music composer, retaining a choice and consequence system, dialogue options, character and companion customisation plus branching plots. Then there will be lots of new things like new protaganist and good back story to him, a new storyline with new antagonists, new worlds and new ships, new races perhaps. These things are what people enjoyed in this trilogy and drew them to it. Just like it will bring them into ME4.
People never liked any of the races or companions until they were created and molded through three games, every character and race was introduced at some point of which prior to that people did not care about. For example Harbinger never existed in ME1 yet people liked him in ME2, TiM aswell. Companions from the second game too. The same can be said for ME4 or future ME titles. New companions could grow to like more than ones before, characters and races introduced that are more interesting when get to know about them and new worlds discovered.

You really think IT would make everyone happy?
I reckon it would make alot of people happy.. Alot happier than people are now - Look at the uprising even the thought of it made..
Well, "a lot" is kind of vague. 10% would be "a lot." And I don't think you realize how many people loathe IT.
Personally, I could live with IT as a retcon.

But then I don't really care since I won't be getting ME4 any time soon anyway.
They have never been able to keep fans happy, for they want everything to be identical to what has appeared in the past. Even look at these forums there are people that claim each one of the Mass Effect games is the best of the series.
They can focus on a set audience/target though, like any other succesful business. That way you can at least keep your target audience more or less happy. Focus on everything and all you'll get is a game that has something for everyone but doesn't excell in any area.

My bet is that they really will make a prequel or a midquel.

I really want a Mass Effect prequel set during the first contact war or something that way they don't have to worry about picking up after ME 3 it's the most logical option to me
First Contact War was very short, and really only consisted of 2 battles. There were about 600 casualities for both sides. No offense to you, but i've had to explain this one too many times, and i just wish people would actually read up on what the FCW was, before suggesting a prequel.

How do we know that the next ME game will be a sequel?

Polls have shown the vast majority want a sequel, and when Casey asked on twitter what fans preferred, most of them said Sequel.

Can't speak for anyone else, but as soon as the PR starts happening again my first question is going to be "Why should I trust you again"?
Or maybe "Why should I get invested in making another character for your story when you can just drop a bridge on him at any time?"
ME3 finished Shepard's story. I am no longer a captive audience.

There's a reason the turians simply call it "The Relay 314 Incident"

Its really going to be hard to tell, even though the majority of the BSN seems to be angry with the game, my experience with friends the vast majority walked away indifferent with having a couple of issues.
If BioWare continues along the path they are talking right now, I think the people that will be upset are the people wanting or expecting Shepard to return, the rest is going to be a personal experience.

1) Let's review the ME3 romances:spirosz wrote...

Isn't that what happened last time?spirosz wrote...
They best try to not please everyone and focus on creating something they will love to pour their heart out, regardless of the feedback.
Well in terms of not trying to please everyone? No, they've been trying to please everyone in every aspect since ME2, multiple romances, Diana Allers, MP, etc.
In terms of pouring their hearts out (I can only really believe a few did).
Full romances: Liara (All Shepards), Ashley (Malesheps; Only if VS), Kaidan (Maleshep and Femshep; Only if VS)
Demi-romances: Garrus (Femsheps; only if romanced in ME2), and Tali (Malesheps; only if romanced in ME2)
Sub-romances: Jack, Miranda (Both Malesheps and only if they were romanced in ME2), and Allers.
Removed romances: Jacob and Thane
So, there you go. If we're talking about full-on romances, I would say ME3 was severely lacking.
2) As for Allers. Unless I'm going crazy, NOBODY asked for her and nobody really cared for her.
3) The only point you are correct on is MP.

Well, those guys are fools anyway. Bio said way before ME3 shipped that this was it for Shepard.

A political reason. They wouldn't want to call it war since they've eventually got their asses handed to them

Destroy: A lot of the Leviathans used Shackled AI's for their tech ships and weapons..... Destroy damaged their war assets severely, perhaps it even blew up a fleet base with lots of warships and... Whatever assets they got.
In Control Shepard tries to stop the LEviathans and engage the Leviathan forces. The Leviathans takes several losses (similarto Destroy) but that leaves Shepard without Reapers stuck in the Citadel servers unable to actualy do much.
In Synthesis it turns out the Leviathans didn´t blend well with the synthesis wave and were unchanged.
The Reapers engaged the Leviathans as they attacked the galactic community. They got destroyed by the LEviathans but inflicted severe damage. This also stopped the transfer of Technology and knowledge of the previous cycles and the tech stored by the Reapers.
Given that a lot of time hadn't passed galactic community hasn't changed that much yet.
The Synthesis galaxy might possibly have some benefits over the others... Maybe the Leviathans invaded their new mental internet so people were forced to turn it off... In essence... Synthesis was disabled in many ways and only retains a few upgrades to peoples health at best.
Synthesis might cure Jokers Vroliks syndrome.
In the end, we got a new conflict and a new super enemy and a galaxy scared and divided.
The Geth are harder.... Maybe the Leviathans attacked Rannoch where the Geth lived and wiped out the Geth because they don't want synthetics in their perfect empire... They want Organic mind slaves.
