Look what they're doing with Dead space 3, Micro-transactions for weapon upgrades in the campaign, optional but the precedant was set with ME3, Now it's making it's way to SP with all those listed above, By the time ME4 happens you will be guaranteed all those i stated aswell as some other ways to milk your money. The days of getting a full game for full
Price are long gone with EA and that reason alone i wont be picking up ME4, And thats before i take the mediocre gaming bioware offer nowadays into consideration.

To demonstrate that a small percentage can be large in absolute terms, if not in relative terms.WolfyZA wrote...

You really think IT would make everyone happy?
I reckon it would make alot of people happy.. Alot happier than people are now - Look at the uprising even the thought of it made..
Well, "a lot" is kind of vague. 10% would be "a lot." And I don't think you realize how many people loathe IT.
Personally, I could live with IT as a retcon.
10%... Why such a random number?
Before that, would you explain why you really think he said those numbers were 10% of the fanbase? Because his use of 10% wasn't attributed to anything.Fact!!
The first IT thread had more than 1 000 000 views
The second IT thread had a bit more than 800 000 views
The third one had just under 300 000 views (this was 6 - 9 after the game released)
Now tell me do you really think thats 10% of the fanbase?
Hystronics aside, where you are goint to support that 70%?Here is a better question, do you think all the people on this site are the only ones who own a ME3 copy of the game, and are the only ones that know the lore and how it contradicts the endings? NO! Matter of the fact is MANY people know of IT but have better things to do then come here voicing their anger and concerns. Where we the die hard fans who care so much for this series hated to see the treatment it got... Trust me IT is bigger than you think. I wouldnt be suprized if 70% people here on BSN headcanon IT as an ending in their heads. But hey I guess your right thats just 10% of the fanbase right there...
Unlike Alan, you're actually making a position that the 70% supports something. Where do you get that?
Damn you, counting methods. Do you remember Star Ocean 3?A slight flash back just accured to me right now...I remember the day before I went and bought ME 3 I read on IGN that ME 3 had 14 different endings that time thinking WOW!!!! Surely this has to be the game with the most endings EVVAAAR!!!.. Funny enough 1 day later they changed their story, like it never happened changing it to "7"... Should've taken a screen shot of that... Damn you hindsight!!!

Let's be honest, With EA at the helm ME4 will be rushed, have day1dlc, season pass's, dlc a few months after release, weapon packs, armor packs etc etc....those looking for a SP RPG experiance will have to look elsewhere...

I guess you are moving to a pure independent developed game now then, for I can't think of a major studio (or developer) that doesn't incorporate multiple if not all of your complaints.

Skyrim felt very rushed to me for my brother couldn't play it on his PS3 for months until they released enough patches and Bethesda has released Horse Armor in the past. Also if their business strategy for the PC market is include an option for players to fix the bugs so Bethesda won't have to, that to me makes it seem to be a rush job. I have major issues with how Bethesda handles DLC as well, for waiting months between the initial release for the 360 and the PC and PS3 is a poor show to me, then again I consider their "housing DLC" (can't think of the name) to be no better then weapon or armor DLC which I don't buy either.
I consider The Witcher 2 to be an independent studio project for I haven't heard anything from CD Projekt since The Witcher 2, I know they are working on one or two games right now, but its been years since they released anything. Not to mention they were mentioning free DLC which in the end was just releasing all the Day 1 DLC / Pre-Order bonuses to everyone, which annoyed some people who only pre-ordered the game for those items. Didn't they also release an Extended Version, which did include additional content, but fixed numerous bugs as well (I only ask for I haven't played the game since release when I had to do multiple configuration changes to get the display to work properly)?

You're obviously right about that. But they're gonna have to cater to a specific side. Smplifying the game would make it more approachable to casual gamers, earning them new fans and more money in heir pocket. However, making it omplex again and more RPG-like will make their current fans much happier, but may alienate newcomers.HagarIshay wrote...

Certainly. There's no way to please everyone. My point is that understanding this, they can focus on a few strong points, rather than many diffused areas, and avoid falling flat.

Keeping the choices shouldn't have to make the game all that complex. Even adding only few lines and MAYBE a quest can make a lot of fans happy to know their choices were at least acknowlaged, while still not confusing the new gamers.
I mean, just look on how much fuss there was because no matter your choice, the Rachni still lived. Now imagine it happening on every single choice you've ever made in the game... The BSN will probably shut down.

Well then call me naive, because I still it's very possible to do while still trying to leave everyone with a great experience from the game.

I don't think you can please everyone; However I'm certain BioWare can come out with a great game which wouldn't cause anyone to believe they are being left out, insulted, or not important as the majority of the fanbase, or the newcomers.
And this is coming from someone who likes ME3.

Well, it's kind of my fault. I should have posted something more like this:
"A lot" of fans is meaningless. A tiny minority of fans would still be a lot of people. What percentage of fans do you think actually like IT? My impression is that it's a tiny minority, 10% at the most, and substantially smaller than the percentage of fans who find IT silly or outright loathesome.

apologetic: oh well then i think they shouldprobably go with what the majority wants or chose to do but should try to not mention the ending more then saying the reapers were destroyed and maybe something in the codex. they should probably have the genophage cured and the quarians alive as well and the rachni aliveHagarIshay wrote...

If they aren't going to mention the endings more than one or two words on it, why limit it to only one ending? Let them say a bit about every ending, there isn't going to be a lot of harm there.
