ME4 WILL SUFFER IF ENDINGS ARE NOT FURTHER ADDRESSED IN DETAIL THIS WILL HAPPEN IT WILL its not hard to believe folks

Uh no it won't.

no? why not? If its a sequel it will Shepard108 i don't think i have to explain why i think you know

Well, if indeed they do decide to make it a sequel, which I think is the only sensible thing to do, they will need to set it up at some point.

I think ME4 and DA3 for that matter will sell pretty well, not as good mind you, but pretty well. Reason being that the sentiment that ME3 was horrible and the death of mass effect doesn't seem to be a shared sentiment between the average and normal fans and the uber diehards. Mainly because most people do not invest the same amount of time into the games and do not feeling something was owed to them for their devotion, at least not that I have seen.

This game series however may not be as powerful as it could habe been though, and that is sad. But we shall see what the future holds. Perhaps I am wrong, that is a very realistic possibility, but things as they are now are up in the air, and until solid proof of their downfall is presented, I don't think they will be doomed to failing. My personal outlook and whatever shall be in the future however are not related, so in other words, we shall just have to wait and see.

DA3 will depend a lot on word of mouth from fans. If most people who like Origins but not II say it´s bad, it will probably sell less than II, unless BW marketing improves A LOT. ME4... if ME3 stays the way it is, they better convince Alan Moore to write it, because that´s what it´d take to salvage the franchise. ME3 is just not the perfect example of how not to finish a story, it´s also the way you don´t finish a story you want to continue.

Agreed, this one sounds...meh...

Are you kidding? It's hilarious!

Hey, if Reddit's going to poke and prod you guys, at least appreciate the little giggles it gets about the issues with Miranda's fanbase and Project X.

Were things that bad in the Miranda threads? Because I find hard to believe Yvonne would quit for that. I mean, there are probably also "fanfics" about Chuck.

Considering we met all ME2 characters in 3, I doubt a plan about killing some off ever got foward.

Trolls, trolls everywhere.

ME is in no danger of dying out. The added multiplayer component (which one can assume the series will continue to have) has a solid following by itself alone. Story and characters are no longer the only vital selling factors of the franchise.
And it's not like they're experiencing bad sales for ME3's DLC story content, either. If Bioware is to be believed, Leviathan is the most successful ME DLC to date.
Oh, what is that? 'The ending is still not fixed'? Sorry, but you're gonna have to bark louder; BiowarEA is having a hard time hearing you over the sound of cash coming in from ME3's MP microtransactions.

IIRC there are some parts in that "leak" that were copy-pasted from a staff member here (idk if it was Mr. Priestly talking about the label Project X)

Common sense, dear folks.

At least this "leak" tried to make you laugh, albeit forced and kinda low with how it digs at the fans.

Exact opposite... I've only met die hard Bioware fans even contemplating getting ME4 right now.  Those that were just casual fans haven't even bought one DLC for ME3.  Only I have, though that was only for Leviathan and I regret it slightly.

their confidence in those endings will be this epic franchises' undoing

UNLESS.............they have an ace in the hole which from CP's posts is highly unlikely so Mass Effect's fall is imenent unfortunately.

Not even close. You may hate the endings but that doesnt mean it's the end of ME. Me and many others especially post EC enjoy it. We just arent as vocal as you guys.

I don't want Mass Effect to end either but Bioware are the only ones that can run it in the ground. ME4 could be an epic game but i see it going the same way KOTOR 2 and Force Unleashed 2 did. Great games if your a fan but at the end of the day not enough revenue and or following for sequels you know why???? Because their stories were mediocre at best and fans just said "oh screw it" ME4 will meet the same fate if ME3 fails to make a smooth segue into the next series. The endings must be addressed furthur or atleast the breath scene, Control and Synthesis are relatively final in their presentation.

First sign that this was a fake leak, being posted on reddit.

Second sign that this was a fake leak, OneTrueShot didn't have anything to do with it.

Maybe we shold have a contest about which leak was the best and which one closer to the mark.

Can anyone please explain me the Miranda debacle in a bit of detail? I managed to completely miss it.

Another thing is it was based around an optional mission in ME2.

Eh, different areas and differet crowds.

The reaction from the casual guys I know who played ME3 was 'meh' when it came to the last mission and the endings. Surprisingly though they expected that since this was the third game. They thought ME1 and 2 were okay, and ME3 was okay with a meh ending, so pretty much they didn't change at all.
