I think ME4 and DA3 for that matter will sell pretty well, not as good mind you, but pretty well. Reason being that the sentiment that ME3 was horrible and the death of mass effect doesn't seem to be a shared sentiment between the average and normal fans and the uber diehards. Mainly because most people do not invest the same amount of time into the games and do not feeling something was owed to them for their devotion, at least not that I have seen.
This game series however may not be as powerful as it could habe been though, and that is sad. But we shall see what the future holds. Perhaps I am wrong, that is a very realistic possibility, but things as they are now are up in the air, and until solid proof of their downfall is presented, I don't think they will be doomed to failing. My personal outlook and whatever shall be in the future however are not related, so in other words, we shall just have to wait and see.
DA3 will depend a lot on word of mouth from fans. If most people who like Origins but not II say it´s bad, it will probably sell less than II, unless BW marketing improves A LOT. ME4... if ME3 stays the way it is, they better convince Alan Moore to write it, because that´s what it´d take to salvage the franchise. ME3 is just not the perfect example of how not to finish a story, it´s also the way you don´t finish a story you want to continue.
