Hehehe...

No, seriously it means a time before deadlines where the whole team is working extra hours to get things done in time.

It is actually a sign of poor planning or too tight contracts. But BioWare uses this phrase here to give us the impression that they are highly motivated and dedicated to get a good DLC done in time.

It dose not matter how many Writers this dlc has a dlc with only two of the Writers would of pulled off a good story too, it's not the qualitty but the quantaty >< darn typos

At this point, I really don't know what to expect. I'm surprised that nothing really significant has been leaked. We knew way ahead of time what Leviathan and Omega were. This upcoming DLC? Almost nothing.

While that is true, I think you are missing the point a bit.  Having all these writers imply it is a  very big or special DLC, because more writers = more work done, but also more writers = different characters done. To our knowledge, no other ME DLC has ever had this many writers working on it, and it begs the question of why? Why do they need so many?

Still, just imagine the potential of what they can do! Not saying they'll do anything with it...But still, I'm going to remain hopeful until we find out

We got a fantastic game, yes there was problems, but there always will be, no matter what Mass effect is still an awesome game, despite the endings.
