Here is a Brief Backstory:
We are set five years after the Reaper war in the year 2191. Commander Shepard gives his life to save the galaxy from certain doom. He jumps into the relay and his body incinerates into a burst of green energy. The energy burst gets fired all over the galaxy. Now organic and inorganic have become one gaining from the other. By choosing synthesis organics have become more intelligent but have the same lifespan as their species. Inorganics have now gain the ability to have emotions.
