Can't say I agree with some of your character pairings, but I do agree it's a great gun and a total boss killer. I remember I tried it at level I when I first got it and promptly put it back on the shelf, but when I took it for spin at IV for the assault rifle mastery challenge I was pleasantly surprised. It's one of the few weapons that really feels like a heavyweight machine gun when you're firing it.

You're not missing much. For ARs the Harrier, PPR and Sabre are better, a lot better.

Hope you get the Typhoon before the PPR, or it'll feel even more underwhelming after the long wait.  I've got the Typhoon at IX and the PPR only at VI, and the PPR outclasses the Typhoon by a mile.  The TSol and vanilla human Soldier are the only classes on which there's even a strong argument for the Typhoon over other weapons.

yeah i did on the platinum, it was really quick to kill enemies in mixed team tagging our team lol.
we had Drell Adept, Volus Adaept, Vorcha, N7 Destroyer and we rided out the whole 11 Waves lol

edit: mind that i was the N7 Destroyer here

None of those weapons have the cool factor of the Brophoon, so yes, anyone who doesn't have it is missing out on that.

You said it Bro.  Its a shame they unleashed Eric "Marauder Sheilds" on this gun and emasculated it.

I only had it for about 18 hours before the nerf came down from the big man himself.  It really used to be good.  Now, its trash.  I mean - it makes a great door stopper.....

OP - Try using it on a 'weapons platform' class.  Destroyer, T Sol, etc.  If you liked it on non-weapons specialty classes you might actually enjoy it a lot more.

i've been using it on other classes like Destroyer so i'm content with the Destroyer. i'm about to play other Platinum match

I agree the Typhoon is a boss killer... on bronze. I had the Typhoon at level VI the day it came out. And yes, it would chew through an Atlas in one clip on Gold, a clip and a half on Platinum. I used to kill them through the window on Glacier. A true machine gun - awesome. And then the nerfs a few weeks later rendered it ineffective on Platinum and Gold. The PPR and Harrier both have higher DPS by a significant margin. And for those of us who play Platinum (not the wussy Rio way) - DPS is king.

So when I see these threads about how "awesome" the Typhoon is I just smile and think: must be a bronze player. The nerfs killed what was the best AR in the game.

I agree that the gun is awesome, but I have no idea what you're thinking putting it on an Asari Valkyrie or N7 Shadow.

I will be honest and say I haven't a clue what the Shadow could do that other infiltrators can't.

i have done six rounds with that gun. it's beast gun, it rips through armor and health quickly.

the N7 Typhoon II and (future higher upgrades) killed Atlas twice,  Geth Prime three times, even the Reapers's Praymaxian. (i think it's called)

this gun works well with N7 Characters such as N7 Destroyer, N7 Shadow and Asari Valkyrie. i can say this gun is certified for platinum match and as platinum gun (certainly a bonus to kill enemies fast)

i'm very pleased with the results

what diffficulty? cause i was using it on a TGI for a paltinum speed run and it dind't shred any boss lol. i prefered the PPR by far to the harrier and typhoon for platinum speed runs
