I'm all for a buff to this thing but that's really an exaggeration. At X it performs admirably on the Turian Soldier and Destroyer. It's fine on Infiltrators too if you use soft cover appropriately. On Gold it doesn't need high grade consumables but there's no reason to NOT use them on Platinum.

I ran some quick numbers and there's no possible way to boost the Typhoon back up to its previous level of damage, and either a 15% base damage buff or an increase to the multiplier to 1.75x would bring it back to previous levels.

For comparison:

55.5 * (1+.25+.3+.15) * 1.5 * 1.5 = 212.2875 (A current Typhoon X with EB, AR rail III and AR amp V)
44.4 * (1+.25+.3+.15) * 2 * 1.5 = 226.44 (A launch Typhoon I with EB, AR rail III and AR amp V)
55.5 * (1+.3+.15) * 2 * 1.5 = 241.425 (A launch Typhoon X with AR rail III, AR amp V)

A launch Typhoon X with EB, rail and gear would do the most damage but for in practice it was unusable without stability mod.

63.825 * (1+.25+.3+.15) * 1.5 *1.5 = 244.130625 (base buff)
55.5 * (1 +.25+.3+.15) * 1.75 * 1.5 = 247.66875 (multiplier buff)

It's been months now and I doubt a buff will ever come though since Derek has mentioned before that the game is balanced around Silver, but many people are exaggerating by calling this gun garbage.

Vs Platinum Atlas pre Destroyer nerf :  

Even post nerf it can still one clip an platinum Atlas. Brutes are a joke with a Typhoon, I'm not sure we're talking about the same gun here  It's actually much better on plat than on gold.

I used it on the TGI for some plat speed run attempts and it didn't do near the damage shown in the video (and yes mine is a X) with claokc boosted for AR damage, AP and mag mods, warp rounds and AR amp 3. and i didn't cloack until it ramped up. I ahven't seen 1 xbox video where it shreeded things since it was nerfed with the exception of the "angle glitch" where each bullet hits it 2-3 times. Its effective yes, but 1 clip on xbox w/o the angle glitch i've fail to see happen

Could have been better if Sirian had chosen Assault Rifle Amp V instead of Grenade Capacity V (wtf ?)

It can still do some serious damage.  I prefer it on the Turian or Human soldier for the free reload.  Ext. Barrel and AP rounds are better IMO.

its still a good wepaon, i agree on that. I'm just saying the OP isn't a good judge of it since he plays mostly bronze

the Bronze Challenges can get dull if you continue playing on Bronze, so that's why i did stated i play on between Bronze, Silver and Gold, Platinum matches. second, you keep mentioning i'm troll, which is not the case.

so please drop it like i asked twice times. you clearly have become a troll in the case because of some "rio" thing. you cannot JUDGE a person based on N7HQ stats or his/her posts, his/her threads. me, i never judge a person because of his/her N7HQ stats or the posts, threads of their own.

honestly, Chris can agree with the statement, because BSN is not place for namecalling and swearing etc. it is not allowed per the rules of Bioware team. in doing so would be banned.

You CAN get a rough estimate of someone's skill level by looking at points earned VS. waves completed and how many waves they completed of Gold and Platinum. I'm sorry but I consider you a noob AND a liar based on your artwork posts.

Well, I meant especially those. There's literally no reason to play bronze for the challenges, because playing gold or plat will complete them as well.

And this is what confuses me, this is not about judging anyone, it`s credibility. You see the N7 HQ records every game we play and it`s reflected in your GT, I just don`t see these Gold and Platinum games. If you are in fact playing these levels and it`s not showing in HQ, you should consider sending a PM to one of the staff.

Anyhow I have an idea, I have never played with you or Upinya, so I will throw this out as a friendly invitation, how about the three of us do a Tio Platinum match, you pick the map and enemy, or if you wish gold. Aside from being a fun match, you may see where we are coming from when you bring this weapon in at the level you have it and be faced with what we will come across on these levels.

So how about it....I haven`t asked Upinya but I don`t see a problem.
