Anyone else having time-out issues when connecting to the Bioware/EA servers?  I've been able to get the DLC and use them without a problem, so some of the other guides here on the site didn't seem to apply.  I was able to connect in the past, but since about the 20th of December I've not been able to do so.

I've registered the game at the EA site, but when I use this site to try and do so (using My Games >> Register Game in the menu) all I get is an "invalid code" warning.  I'm entering the information that's under the UPC symbol on the back of the game box.

I know I can connect to the internet because I can browse sites, connect to the PlayStation Store, etc. so that doesn't seem to be it.

Any ideas?

I have the same problem as you do i would like to be able to know that my game is syncing with the Dragon Age servers. Does anyone know how to solve this problem?

Did you enter all digits of the UPC code, including the smaller digit located at each corner of the UPC bar?

No, I just entered the ones under the bar code. In fact, I don't remember seeing any other numbers, but even looking back at the exemplar on the registration site there are clearly two other numbers there. I'll try that tonight after work and see if that clears things up. Thanks!

That seemed to help out. Now a bunch of character information can be found through this site. I still got an error message when I started the game after registering it here, but I don't remember what it said. I'll worry about that next.

Thanks!

the servers are probably overloaded.

Did you have to un-register DAO on this site first? Can you give a step by step as I've been seeing time out for a couple of months now.

Ive never been able to sync with the server. I mean, I'm not even sure whether I can play it online with friends as the booklet's online section is so brief and the wording a little ambiguous. I shudder to think I'm going to have to use the EA website, as it's a nightmare to use with a ps3. Doesn't it link up automatically? I got the dlc codes fine no prob. I assumed it was linked up then. As for the UPC code, I can see neither hide nor hair of a UPC cide on the packaging. I have the Aust/NZ collector’s edition. Do you mean the barcode?
addendum: I've just tried to log into the EA site and it‘s playing silly-buggers with me already. It really helps, not to mention erring on the side of common sense if, after filling-in the log-in and password fields, EA poivde a rectangular button or icon to actually click on in order to process said log-in details thereby signingi into the site, But no, that would just be too easy. I think I'm going to put Dragonage away for another two months, and by that time when I'm less frustrated with it, I'll have another go at linking the thing up. Now I remember the reason why I keep passing this game over for easier connexions online. Back the Sacred2:Fallen Angel.
