Looking through these really did bring back good memories. Thank you for the trip down memory lane :D I'm actually pretty fond of the Mako now, even if it was hell getting that thing up a hill.

This thread shows why I love ME1.

I'm a sucker for space exploration. Mass Effect 1 was the only game in the series to make me feel like that.

Ah... Nostaglia... Vigil Theme.. Now excuse me as I go cry.

Yes! The exploration in ME1 was a big part of what drew me into the series. As i recall, Eletania (probably because of the rings) sealed the deal for me. I really hope they bring back exploration in the next installment. Anyways, great job Jade!

btw... my issue with the mako seems to be the reverse of most other players. I could make it dance on PC but on console, for a while i drove like an intoxicated vorcha haha.

Hey, anybody else notice that Klendagon is a modified picture of Mars?

That's a great find Exile!! It makes me wonder what created the "great valley rift" on Mars....

The moon, as seen above camp in DA:O, is a tinted-white image of Mars focusing on Tharsis Montes instead of the Valles Marineris.

Beautiful images. Makes me wonder how anyone would ever have thought it was a bad game.
I never understood why vheicle segments were gutted completely from ME3. I mean, sure it could get a bit tedious in ME1, but the combination of vheicle and ground exploration was what made ME unique. It made it feel like you were actually exploring the galaxy Star Trek style, rather then a corridor level. You had multiple hidden objectives, artifacts, and extras to find from exploring the area around you. I thought it was a promising component of being an exploration and space-drama themed RPG. Plus, as illustrated by the screenshots provided by @Jadebaby, it made you actually feel like an explorer on an alien world. It made you feel like you actually were exploring the galaxy.
I could understand lessening the amount of areas that were vheicle-based, but cutting the entire thing out just didn't sit well with me.

Exactly, I can understand them wanting to do something different with the Mako in ME2, but to not have either or even a new vehicle was silly. But then I guess it would have been one of those things left out due to time restrictions...
