after I died there two times in a row today (while some idiots were laughing their asses off on the mics) I was like: ok, not going there again...but then there was the hack thingy, where you stand in the range to hack it - and they vented it again, seriously? so funny wow, this just confirms every stereotype about videogamers, sorry

Also why the hell do all of the mobs just kinda walk right through the doors?

I never go in there, PERIOD! So many dumb ass people pressing that button while teammates are inside and for what? So they can laugh? Even when there is a hack I in the core, I still refuse.

I have to wonder if intentionally roasting the squad would count as griefing and therefore bannable.

joined, my friend tried to get revenge on me yesterday when I was a volus engineer. I got him back by surviving.
I have also hit the button and then had two teammates run in and get roasted.

I purposely closed a guy I was playing with in the reactor once because he kept blaming the PUG for him getting locked in there. And he kept checking his score. And got mad because the guy was outscoring him.

Best game ever.

Firebase Reactor Hazard - ah yeah, the map where I'll often be heard saying "it wasn't me this time - honest" ... nyeah, amongst my friends I'm notorious for hitting that button, I just can't resist... I have taken to giving people fair warning now though; "I've pressed the button, get out unless you want to cook".

Last time I was on that map we had a full team of Volus and I wanted to try and get everyone in the Reactor to cook ... just to see if we could survive through Shield Boosting...

... I discovered you can't if only 2 of you stay in there

I hate that reactor-vent button. So difficult to press, I keep going into hard cover instead.

That, and Phantoms ignore that the blast door is closed, and just cartwheel-clip through it.

I don't even bother with that "hazard" anymore. If a teammate wants to use it, by all means, be my guest. I could care less.

I survived as a lone volus engineer with a wraith yesterday, it was quite easy.  (cd was almost 4 sec, build here)

I think you only have to Shield Boost once then Heavy Melee at the right time.

Only Shield Boosting, maybe not.  Shield Boosting + heavy melee = Volus tanning booth

well you get quite a long period of immunity after activating it so probably, but I know for sure that two SBs kept me alive.

I've accidentally pushed the Reactor button from the inside. Love that do everything button biower, don't ever change it.

Only Shield Boosting, maybe not.  Shield Boosting + heavy melee = Volus tanning booth

I was still in CD from charging the Orbs when the fire went off (yes, yes, careless I know) ... but the heavy melee didn't even occur to me Was hoping the other Volus's boost would keep us going until mine was ready... didn't work out that time - have to try again!

Yes, I love FB Reactor Hazard... even more so when we all get cooked for some reason!

Best memory of that map was when I was playing a Volus Engi. Got caught inside like 2-3 times 'cause I wasn't paying attention (and I'm sure someone did it on purpose). Survived each time using the bubble shield for the regen then filling up with shield boost.

I pused the button to roast a few enemies. Not my fault the vangaurd charged in there to fight them. I got their sorry butt up though, after they had a swearing fit.

Roasted an idiot, who didn't revive at all, even if I was Lying in front of him. Happily i was playing with 2 other friends and we agreed on letting him bleed to death. It was in a wierd way satisfying...
