Actually I recognized only a single BSN member so far. I'm sure I've already played with more because the most PC players here are talking about a lot of BSN members. I probably just didn't notice.

I had that happen to me once too, quite embarrassing. 
I run into BSN people all the time. Sometimes I just recognize their GT/usernames. I have very good visual memory so when I see things around these forums it gets stored in the vault
. Also I always have my mic on so there's a good chance if anyone is talking I'll respond and then get into a convo. I have met several BSN'ers that way too! I always ask becuase I'm just goofy like that "oh are you on BSN also?" and if they do not know of BSN then I feel a tiny bit guilty like I'm giving them their first cigarette

I run into BSN members every other day, but I don't think they recognize me. Just recently I played with N7-Link in a public Platinum match. He was using a Fury and (obviously) outscored everybody.

I've encountered several, but I have one of those forgettable tags so it is not surprising that I am not recognized. A few months back, I was in a public match without my mic and heard two players commenting on everyone in the game and one of them said,"He's the guy who wrote the Ryncol Light thread, he's alright." Got a message afterwards asking why I played public without a mic.

How would you know? unless they use the same tag I wouldn't recognise them anyway.
I don't have many friends..sniff. It would be difficult anyway as I can't wear gaming headset due to health reasons and it would be really awkward playing seriously without.
