We have our tagline right there.....

Mass Effect 3:Whatever "People, people, people...remember, this is just DLC.  Expect it to be mediocre and only loosely tied to the main story." $15.99

I never said most people liked the endings. I think most people who played the game didn't like the endings but didn't make a huge fuss over it. As a customer, you pay for what's on the disc. You got exactly that. Even if you don't like some part of it, that was the deal.

I didn't like how Halo 2 ended, I thought it was terrible. But I didn't go on a forum and sign petitions demanding that Bungie change the ending. I got what I paid for, despite me not liking a certain part of it.

Halo 2 and Mass Effect are completly different games. If you don't get that. Then you don't get ME or get why people are upset.

So you don't take offense at blatantly being lied to.....that's nice of you...alot of us are less forgiving.

Casy Hudson's comments about the ending before the game was released? Yeah, that was bull**** and he lied about it, and people were right to call him out on it. But he's not the first to do that. Peter Molyneux is famous for lying about features in his games. It doens't make it right, but it happens.

I don't think people should take it so personally, though. Yeah, the ending was **** and I think most people would agree with that. But to make such a huge fuss over it... I don't know. It just doesn't sit well with me.

And Bioware didn't have to make the Extended Cut. They could have just said simply said no. And even if you didn't like what was in the Extended Cut, you could at least say thanks for trying to make it better. It was free download for everyone.

You act like BioWare was doing us a favor. I'm glad that they did make the EC, as it is much better than the original endings (not quite there, but better), but let's not act like we owe them for it. They knew that if they didn't do something, that they would a huge chunk of their fanbase.

I paid $60 for a product and expected to be satisfied. I, as a paying customer, have a right to expect a quality product. BioWare needs people to buy their products, not the other way around. After all, I don't need them to pay my bills. They need us though.

I know plenty of people in real life who have little to no enthusiasm for ME4. This is entirely related to the ending of ME3. As I said before, none of these people post on BSN or post on ME related gaming boards. The disappointment and anger is not confined to BSN, it's real. I love the universe enough that I want to be excited for ME4 and am looking forward to it, but the anticipation is definitely muted from before. Whereas I pre-ordered ME2 and ME3 the instant I could, I will not likely be pre-ordering ME4. I'm going to be sure that it's a good game before plunking down money again.

I'm sure I'm not alone on this either.

Oh this is so true. It's like saying "be prepared to not like it so if it's bad you won't be disappointed."

Kind of goes against the hype they already started when they said it was "all hands on deck" with all the writers getting in on it and all. Oh right hype is never good.

Well, that quote was in direct response to new ending content, not the DLC as a whole.

C'mon, folks.

Just because lots of game devs do it doesn't make it ok. Casey made the "No A, B, C endings" statement when the game had already gone gold and he knew what he was saying was a lie.

People made a huge fuss because they loved ME so much that what Bioware did was unforgivable to alot of them. It's a testament to how good ME1 and 2 were that people were so upset about how the ending (and other aspects of ME3) were treated.

As for the EC I refuse to thank BiowEAre for putting chocolate sprinkles on a dog turd....it's still a dog turd either way.

With all the pretextual critical acclaim that was tossed around as a counter-argument to anyone who had disliked the ending, I´m sure the need for any "thank you" was saturated.

IF EC actually addressed any of the problems I had with the game, I'd say so.  But as it is, all EC really does for me is provide the raw materials MEHEM needed to exist.

Free download?  Sure, and I got what I paid for.

I posted this in the other thread and then saw this one, so it seems more approproate here. Anyway...

I'm starting to suspect that Hale was speaking to people other than players/fans. She suggests in a follow up tweet (below) that she was, in fact, not referring to players.

Maybe her tweet was aimed at other voice actors? Her original tweet was rather cryptic, so we have no way of knowing if it's even ME-related. Maybe it's related to Fuse or one of her other projects. If it's ME-related, then it'd make me wonder if some serious sh!t happens that maybe caught some of the other voice actors off guard. Who knows? All we have are her cryptic tweets and... speculations. :D
