hi everyone, as soon as I reached Trademeet , I entered the Major's house and met cernd that made the druid grove appear on my map.
The question is: I remember time ago that when I played this quest, that, as soon as my character left the Major's home, I would have been met by a merchant which offered me to poison the druid grove.
Is the fact that I'm a paladin currently the why I didn't meet this guy?

You need to be of evil alignment.
Note that by far the more evil action is to save the grove, but then choose the evil resolution to the warring factions of Trademeet by giving the Mantle of Waukeen to one of the nobles. Plus this may even not cause your paladin to fall, although keep a save just in case.
