I've been thinking about this since DA3 was announced. I always play as a mage and I really like the idea of three of the most important people in Thedas not only being mages, but also from the same family. It makes the story more impactful for my gameplay experience.

Hey OP. Yeah, it's anybody's guess what the new PC will be. But I understand what you mean. It does provide a certain strand of continuity if you choose to play like that.

But, we'll just have to wait and see.

I don't hold that opinion. I don't see much point in another Amell protagonist. I wasn't too fond of the last one as it is. I'd prefer an elven protagonist myself; I'm not too keen on the prospect of another human protagonist.

We can choose the protagonist origin, maybe it will be a Amell choice... but if we look at the family tree, it seems diffilcult to have one more Amell.

And by a bit, I mean not doing something incredibly obvious and boring like linking the plot to the unfinished buisness from DAO

Actually, I remember that Leandra mentioned that ALL of Revka's children were taken to circle. So that means that the Human Mage origin might technically have a sibling or several. Either way, I'm happy we'll be able to choose origins for our inquisitor

I hope that not. The Amell family being involved in everything will result in the same kind of criticism I hear Star Wars EU fans complain about the Skywalker and Solo clan solving everything. The DA universe so far doesn't initially seem to be catering to one family or group being the messiahs of the world.

No, I don't want that If it was another Amell I think the backround and the character would be a little constrictive.

This would be interesting, and I'd have fun with it. But, if it were done I think there would almost HAVE to be mention of it in game, including wild speculation by NPCs about the Amell family and whatnot. Some sort of conspiracy theory sub-plot where people think the Amellls are secret rulers of the world. (think illuminati)

I would actually like if one of the backgrounds to have a the Mage be an Amell. My Warden was an Amell, Hawke was and Amell so why not make it three in a row.

Actually making it an Amell could atleast could give them excuse for the main character to have a traditionally English accent.

There are supposed to be multiple backgrounds, so I don't think anyone would be opposed to it being one option amongst many.

I'd say link it to somebody else, if they're going to do that. I'm pretty sure Amell and Mahariel got the most mentions in DA2, did they not?

That's quick work. Did they use the pink roll fiberglass stuff or was it the spray? How many square feet did they do in the hour and how much did it cost?

If you meant insulated, then I really would like to know the answers to the question I asked. It would be extremely helpful.
