I don't know if it's the G3 fixpack or it's the GOG version being bugged, but I was just playing at the first area on the way to the ruined Amaunator temple in the sewer and my characters kept dropping their armor and various other pieces of equiipment while fighting the spiders and wandering horrors that spawn there. I've played through BG2 many times and don't remember this ever happening before. During combat, Keldorn dropped both his armor and the hill giant belt, while Minsc and Jan both dropped their armor.
Has this ever happened to anyone else using the GOG version or using the G3 bg2 fixpack? This is the first time I've used the GOG version, I bought it because I was tired of installing from my CDs. But, obviously this could lead to to some pretty disastrous results if my party keeps dropping stuff and I don't realize it.

I've used it extensively without problems, so your problem may be the result of a mod conflict. Have you got anything else apart from the fixpack? Or have you installed a patch (not needed by GOG version)?

Your characters often drop stuff while their circle is yellow. Cast a spell that protects against fear before fighting. The L2 mage spell resist fear does it, as well as the L1 cleric spell remove fear, Mazzy's innate remove fear ability, and even as a secondary effect of the offensive L4 mage spell Emotion.
Minsc can also enrage himself to avoid fear, but always keep an enemy between him and your party members, as he indiscriminately attacks whatever is closest. Note barbarians and berzerkers do not have this problem, lest this put you off these classes.

There is a mod that remove the chance of dropping weapons when panic. I think it is 'TheBigg Tweakpack' from Spellhold studios

There is also a special effect in scs2 ‘Improved de'Arnise Keep’ that does that... I’d suspect a mod conflict could have the game using the wrong one against you.

Ah ok, it's the panic effect from the wandering horrors. I guess that's different from other fear abilities, like dragon fear. Funny I've never seen it before in about 12-13 playthroughs of BG2, or it only happened once and I didn't care and just kept on playing. I literally had 3 characters with no armor running around getting mauled by the spiders haha. Thanks for helping me with this one, folks.
