Hi I was hoping that someone could give me some tips. Im stuck at the part where after ander blows up the Chantry. its the part where I have to fight in the docks one blood mage and then all the wraiths and the demon. My companions are fenric, aveline, and my girl isabella and me (rogue). its set at casual cause I always start at the easiest level. but its been a cake walk till now. I'm getting fustrated. what can i do?. By the way I tried both ways(supporting mages and Meredith and neither one is easier than the other. It feels like it went from casual to nightmare lol.

This is generally regarded as the toughest fight in Dragon Age 2, and it doesn't make matters better that you don't have a mage with you or any ranged attackers.
First tip: take out the blood mage as quickly as you can. Use bombs, use cross-class combos, do anything you can, but take out that mage. I open that fight by tossing a Fell Grenade at her.
Use Aveline to draw aggro from the shades. If you have any guys with fire protection, have them settle on the pride demon. He's not that hard to put down. Then just mop up the rest of the shades.
Here's another video that might help:

It helps a lot if you manage to keep the demon out of the fight until you've dealt with the mage and the shades. This can be done if you are careful, the demon is on the side street to the left and might not initially react to your presence if done correctly.
Not having a mage is a real drawback in the end battles.

as said above, i dont micro manage my companions, i normally let them do as they wish, but on that fight control/a to select all your party an focus fire on the blood mage is a must

Do you have Dog? He seems useful in this fight. I find it difficult to use Isabela in this fight because she always dies of course that might because I built her wrong. Do you have the power where she hit's everybody, I forget the name. All hand on deck?
