:D I figure this will start a fight but oh well.

Seriously though have you ever been in those matches where a person goes down so much that you finally decide the time spent reviving them would be better spent killing enemies? I almost always try to revive whenever safe but recently I've had some unfortunate PUGs where I hit 15 revives at around wave 4. I still usually try to revive because it helps having a "meat decoy" on the field but at what point should I draw the line.  It's no fun having to spend most of a game reviving someone.

At what point do you say enough is enough?

Not sure, if I revive them into a sync-kill I guess.

Possibly, but it's situational. Wiping also brings your score down, so I try to revive when possible.

When I go for a full PUG, I don't care about the other players' life or death : I only need decoys.

When I realize that somebody is leeching. If they are going down a lot, I watch what they do after a revive or start of the wave. If they run head first into spawns and don't put up a fight, they are leeching. Screw points, leave the last enemy standing for half an hour and see if he stays on.

They go down twice in wave 1.

I revive in the hopes they'd do the same for me.

Score is irrelevant, victory is all that matters.

Misleading title

I usually revive them if they are next to me. I wont run to the other side of the stage unless they are someone on my list. And even then if I can finish the round quickly ill let them bleed out.

I know I figured it would invite a little early morning rage. It generally does drag you down and a good portion of my deaths have been from trying to revive when I know better.

I always try to revive. If you're surrounded by bad guys and I've got no rockets, or ramboing the other side of the map on an objective wave, you go down the priority list.

I'll revived if I think I can do so without getting killed. The more you go down, the fewer the risks I'll take to revive your sorry ass.

... Huh? Revive them unless every enemy is busy daddling about on their corpse. If you don't get there in time or before something tries to stomp them, they most likely have gel and it's not the end of the world.

And why would I worry about my score when a revive takes around a second? Better yet, why would I worry about score in general?

Would you rocket and then revive for any teammate or is it contingent on how the downed player has been playing?

Personally I try to conserve rockets to either lighten up the spawn budget on more difficult waves or to prevent wipes on objective waves. I'll definitely rocket if someone has proven their value to the team but if they're dragging the team down it's not worth the rocket.

If there are sync kill units nearby, then I generally won't bother unless it's early in a late wave, in which case it's nuke spawning time.

And if they haven't used medigel once in the ten times they've already went down?

One extra second of fire power can prevent a good teammate from being killed. When you revive it effectly takes two guns out of the fight for a brief second. If someone isn't going to gel ever, why should I concern myself with reviving them?

For me, it really depends on how valuable the downed player is in comparison to how valuable I am. If they have 25k points on wave 9 of Gold and I have 120k (a pretty realistic spread when someone's not pulling their weight), then the benefit of me going to rez them is not worth the minus of me not carrying during that time.

Unless they're right on top of me and easy to get, of course.

<10 meters. I'll kill any enemies and try to revive.
>10 meters... someone else will take care of it.

Score isn't a problem, nor should you care about it. Reviving however is usually left to a few brief rules. Which I follow on a constant basis on any difficulty, like helping with objective waves more specifically hacks and escorts, 4pointobjectives are no problem, pizza delivery isn't a problem either. If you revive a teammate or not decides if I revive you. Now if your body is between 2 sync kill units I'm sorry, you are just dead or you better gel one. Gel is wave dependent for me, I'll gel much quicker in later waves. Early waves I save gels and bleed out if need be. If you want to be a leeching person, fine I'll just let you bleed out consistently. I will not risk my life for a leech or someone who doesn't help with objectives. If you have helped consistently with objectives and revived teammates other than me. I'll risk my ass to save you. Otherwise have a fun time bleeding out. Score pigs aren't revived period ever.

I'll revive if I can without endangering myself or doing so under the nose of a 1HK enemy.

If I'm escorting a drone, hacking or delivering Pizza I won't go too far to revive them so they will need to get themselves up. 4 objectives I'll normally divert to get them unless I'm personally in mid hack.

If it's kill the target I would expect to find their corpse near the target or the revive doesn't happen.

A score pig is someone who constantly stays out of the hack circle or escort and is usually across map killing things and making things spawn near or in front of the area of the hack or escort. More escort than hack. All a score pig does is run his/her score up by not helping others, not reviving and causing spawn problems because he or she doesn't want to be a team player. I firmly support team players and will revive them. Score pigs get no revives ever.

Good or bad, a revived team mate is an additional gun pointed towards the enemy. I can always use a DPS increase, no matter how small. Of course, if he/she's in the enemy traffic equivalent of the M25's rush hour, I may think about it.

Probably. I tend to get all "Get to de choppa!!!" and revive whenever possible (and sometimes when it's not...). I like to challenge myself to see how sticky a situation I can save someone from. It's a compulsion.
