There's too much I would want to know before buying. There's a lot of parts of the Mass Effect brand that I have no interest in, and a lot of parts that I can't get enough of. If it focuses too much on the former and not enough on the latter, I have no reason to buy it. But YES seems pretty likely, especially if the engine switch gives BioWare a little more flexibility.

It only counts when it's not giving obviously paid 10/10 reviews to objectively rushed and poorly-made games that are by almost all standards inferior to their predecessors.

True
If they don't agree with my personal opinion clearly they were corrupt, bought out by the developer, had no idea what they're talking about and are an idiot, indoctrinated, or some combination of those.
The sad part is that I know I could name any reviewer and people in this thread would claim all of those things as though it were fact, simply because they gave their favourite game an 8/10 instead of a 10/10, or because they highly rated a game the person didn't like.

And yet you called somebody corrupt because they gave 10/10 to a game that you thought was not as good as the previous games, a subjective point that you passed off as an objective fact.

Objective facts of ME3:
- Texture and animation bugs as well as bugs of all kinds were extremely common
- The Geth's actions in ME3 directly contradicted their central philosophy which was stated in ME2 to be "We find our own way without help from the Reapers" Suddenly, they're willing to use reaper tech. Objectively poor writing.
- I don't think anyone seriously enjoyed the cut-and-paste planet-scan fetch quests of ME3 more than the sidequests of ME1
- I admit that the squadmate selection is subjective, but not one widely-popular ME2 squadmate other than Tali or Garuss was an ME3 squadmate. Almost all other popular ME2 squadmates got mere cameos.
- Don't even try to say that the Day 1, on-disk DLC squadmate wasn't a total scumbag move.
To give a game like this a 10/10, the reviewer has to have played ME3 as his first game ever or been paid off.
Also, to everyone who thinks I'm being stupid for daring to accuse corporations of paying for reviews, take a look at this: http://i.imgur.com/QAmd4gi.png

Not sure I'd even play the story campaign this time around though. ME3 kind of really turned me off to Bioware storywriting. Not writing them off though, just don't want to experience another story so frustrating.

Your "objective" list is a pretty subjective list.
I'll admit that I don't actually know which reviewer you're talking about(I thought IGN but checking their site shows they gave it 9.5 and not 10) but they're probably not a reviewer that I use.
It does help to show my point however, that I could name a reviewer and have somebody tell me they're corrupt, paid off, or an idiot. I didn't even have to name one and you've already said they've been paid off or never played games before.
The main one I watch gave it 8/10 and mentioned the ending and day one DLC.

Wow. Must have been one of the few. Only a bare handful of reviewers mentioned the ending at all in their reviews.

The number of which increased a hundredfold in ME3.

They didn't. The Heretics did. At least pretend to know your ME lore before arguing about it.
And it's pointless arguing with you further, considering your terminal case of post-purchase rationalisation/****-ism. You'll just cover your ears and sing loudly as soon as anyone dares criticise Bioware.
EDIT: Ahahaha, oh wow. I see Bioware censored one of the most popular names for their remaining fans. I forgot that the BSN has about much free speech as North Korea, and I fully expect to have my line ended shortly.

> I actually noticed less. It's not pointing out that it is not there, but rather that it doesn't automatically mean it's worse than the previous games when not everybody see's an increase in the number of problems.
> It's entirely illogical for a logic based species(which is not true AI yet) to come to the same conclussion twice, especially when their thought for rational capacity has been severely reduced. The fact that I'm even arguing this shows that it's subjective since not everybody thought it was bad writing.
At what point have I said that Mass Effect and BioWare are perfect? I'm pretty sure if somebody checked my post history they'd find me critizing plenty of things. I'd even have some criticism for my favourite game of all time, Half-Life(and yes, it would pretty much entirely be about Xen).
What I am saying is that you're passing subjective opinion off as objective fact, and anyone who dares to disagree so far is either A. Paid off by BioWare/EA, B. Never played a game before, or C. Refuses to listen to any criticism.
